I tried looking for a topic of unrequited love here and there is one but there are no answers http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=9125&page=1#post234848
I really love "Hoshi wa utau" and "Strobe Edge" so i was looking for something like that.
Yeah those two are shoujo i guess but actually i really don't mind if it's shoujo shounen josei or seinen. I just don't want any yuri, yaoi, shoujo ai or shounen ai kind of thing. Not my cup of tea 😔
Since I'm a girl I prefer a girl as main character but if it's not as long it's not a big perv it's ok

I haven't read those and this might sound odd but...don't they all start unrequited somehow? Lol...O_O
Unless you mean real unrequited love where the girl does NOT end up with the main lead, otherwise what you're asking for seems to be many, if not all shoujos? O_o And well, most shounens have unrequited love.

i believe "unrequited" in this sense means that the main character does not end up with their love interest by the end of the manga.
this might be spoilerish...but only one i can think of right now is Honey and Clover

If you like strobe edge, then you'll really like Bokura wa Itsumo. I think they both give the same feel.
I also HIGHLY recommend Honey and Clover, but for something like this, I think you should watch the anime first. Its so wonderful.
