I like that theres more Pokemon, granted most of the new Pokemon aren't that original. I like it mainly because theres a lot more to choose from with similar elements, so if I don't really like how one looks I can substitute it quite easily.

The original Red and Green and the Blue that was released at the end of the year were the best. I especially liked the Blue version because of the better graphics and such. And there was even few ways to get mew data or the actual pokemon through some bugs. Those were the legendary games. The first anime series wasn't that bad either (not that I actually watch it), though it was nowhere near legendary like the first generation games were, and Satoshi was nowhere near as cool as the original protagonist from the games (...). After that it just became like any other kids' franchise. And even if they were as good, I wouldn't play them anymore anyways.

I liked the second gen a lot. :3 Though I think there still are some good ones, not a big ratio as with the older generations, but still worth it. Besides it does make the game more believable, Pokemon replacing animals and all.

YES!!! me and my friend were just talking about that the other day cuz we both knew all the first 150 and loved them but then they rapidly made more and more tell we didn't even care about it anymore....

Agreed, though I'd add second generation benefited more from an expanded map, story and options more so than the addition of second generation Pokemon. The best arc of the anime was the original tournament with its 151 pokemon + Togepi. Honestly, they should have ended it with orange league.

i think pokemon is awsome but they just dont put enough effort and LOVE they used to. also they have a bunch of random pokemon that dont make any sense like how nidoran is the poison pin pokemon. not to mention the TV show got stupid when misty left. she left and took all the tsundere love with her. cant believe they did that and introduced may the cock - blocker and max the baby.

My opinion in this is nonexistent, because I never started playing until R/S/E. Though the anime was better at only 151.
