Basically looking for a manga where a girl falls for a creepy but intelligent/good guy, and when I say creepy I don't mean like otaku or whatever, but spooky/evil looking/disturbing way of thinking type creepy. For example the main male characters in any of these: Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge, or Kiben Gakuha, Yotsuya Senpai no Kaidan. Also, I'd prefer a bit more romance than is evident in "Kiben Gakuha, Yotsuya Senpai no Kaidan" if possible please.

As always; no rape or yao please. It's fine if the main character is female and it ends up yuri though.

Closest matches
Usotsuki Mi-kun to Kowareta Ma-chan - Totteoki no Uso Both MCs are strange
Yamikagishi (A guess, haven't read it yet)
Coelacanth Female MC
Coulomb Fille The guy is more strange looking than creepy
Heads Kind of

Gender reverse, aka creepy female lead
Tokage
Doll Star - Kotodama Tsukai Ihon No romance here, though

Hope these are what you're looking for. Another manga that has the ambience and romance but doesn't quite fit the criteria: Sugar Dark - Umerareta Yami to Shoujo

Wow, I never thought there would be even this many! Dawn - Tsumetai Te and Code: Breaker weren't exactly what I was looking for, but they were great reads anyway. Thank you very much. 😃

... I hope this doesn't count as a double post since I am technically the last one to comment... but it's been a while, so... BUMP. 😐

Wow, it's been almost two years! Came across this thread again and thought I'd add a few more to the list:

The Voynich Hotel - Can't remember just how creepy the male lead was, but the rest of the characters are.

My Heart Is Beating - The male lead is obsessed with swimsuits. Not ecchi.

Haikyo Shoujo - Collection of stories with all kinds of unsual characters.

Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan - Male love interest is on death row for murder.

Onani Master Kurosawa - Dont let the summary mislead you into thinking it's ecchi. The male lead is addicted to masturbation and the story goes from there.

Shigeshoushi - The male lead isn't creepy so much as his job is- an embalmer/mortician.

Wolf & Mary - No romance here, but definitely a disturbing lead. Great if you like black humor.

There are a few I refrained from adding because it was only the appearance that was creepy, not the personality (e.g. Angel Densetsu ). But if that kind of character fis the criteria, let me know and I'll add more. How did the recs from before work for you?
