No no no! I've already mentioned that I would rather the main pairing NOT have sex. Smut is not on my preferred list, but again that has a note with it.

The examples I used were Santa Claus Panic!, in that the male lead's goal was to have sex with the female lead (allowing them some skinship) but it didn't happen in the end. In Kiss/Hug, the male lead does a lot of kissing and hugging (obviously) towards the female lead. While in Kiss/Hug they did end up sleeping together, it wasn't something that continuously happened throughout the story.
I'm not looking for a certain genre or anything. Even Junai Tokkou Taichou! has it's moments that fit my criteria, and it's still on my reading list. Hugging, hand holding, cuddling, kissing, ...etc. Nothing more, nothing less. I hope this clears it up. 🙂

I didn't pay attention, but I'm guessing you already read Ai Hime - Ai to Himegoto...
Technically, for the main characters: Suki-tte Ii na yo (although it's labeled smut, it's not really smut in the titillating sense... Don't get me wrong. There is sex and nudity involved for a side character, but it's handled in a social critique sense...)
Maybe Momoiro Heaven! -- at least what's been scanlated... This one's actually a pretty fun one in my opinion (it's pretty funny by Chapter 2)
What about Hakuji? I gobbled up the first volume because I was so interested in their relationship.

Maybe Beauty Honey? There is a little bit of age gap, but I just love the dynamic relationship between the protagonists.

I haven't read Ai Hime - Ai to Himegoto, but it's moved up on my to-read list. 🙂 Same with Hakuji, Harem Lodge, and Kimi to Scandal!, (I recently read Bloody Kiss, so I think I'll like this one!)
If Momoiro Heaven! and Beauty Honey are as good as you two say (and the release frequency isn't bad), I'll probably read them even if they're still ongoing. 🙂 Thanks for the recommendations!

I don't remember it that much, but I do remember that Marmalade Boy had a lot of REALLY cute hugs in it. Enough for me to leave a comment on the series about it.
I think that's sort of what you're looking for? Good luck anyways! It's a very cute concept. 🙂

Moe Kare!! and Saruyama!,
they do it eventually ,
but it certainly doesn't ruin the story or anything so it's okay, you should try them out, from what i remember they have cute moments and they also have a good ending, (don't remember about Saruyama!, but Moe Kare!! does have a great ending).
