Superior,
You're kidding me! It has pretty art. D:
Or is it too Shoujo-ish for your tastes?

Akuma na Eros or just about anything by [a]Shinjo Mayu[/m]. Sure, some points are good but I always get annoyed at how she draws the guys so tall and the girls so short (except for in Ai wo utau... where she's simply turned it over but the height ratio is still the same).

i second trinity blood, the art was very generic, but the story was nice,
and also tenjou tenje has some crappy starting, gets better, then sometimes oh!great draws some astounishingly wrong anatomic parts that made everyone who knows a human body cry in despair...but the characters can get to be liked and some of the art is amazing!
then also unbalancexunbalance can get some smoothin'edges...
but as i'm super-picky, i often don't even start to read a work with bad art, i just don't buy it after opening the cover, or outright delete it from hdd.
being wordy, sry 🙂

If you compare the art of the beginning to its ending, you'll understand why.
I can say the same for Clamp's older works, but that's probably just my own bias self.

Hyde and Closer
It's a good manga but the art is messy.

elfen lied...
the anime was beautifully done, with the perfect music that went with it
the manga had better story, but the art was very sketchy....
but overall elfen lied is still my favorite completed series...

Yeah, the art in the later volumes of Akuma de Sourou is quite good... (though I've never read it myself)
I agree on Clamp's older stuff. Like Tokyo Babylon. =/
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

I am quite happy with the art of Trinity Blood. It's getting better and better. I actually want to read the mangaka's other works, esp. later ones. I don't even have a problem with Vampire Juujikai. I think they fit the stories.
What should be redrawn is Nodame Cantabile. It hurts my eyes. I think quite a few josei have that type of messy art or something worse. Looks ugly.

On the otherhand, I've actually seen some series where I think the art has gotten worse as it progressed, namely:
Fruits Basket
Kare Kano
I preferred how these series looked early in the series compared to later chapters. Maybe it's just me, maybe I'm weird. shrug °v(.)v°
i agree. with fruits basket at least hasnt read karekano the eyes got bigger and bigger ;/ wonder how the art was at the end since i dropped the series towards the middle.
i agree about hana kimi too, the early art was okay, the art in the middle was really nice, and towards the end it got a little weird o_O oh well.
i really dont pay attention to art all that much, i like seeing each mangaka's unique style no matter how weird or out of place it seems. i think the mangaka of hana yori dango should revisit her early chapters of that series though ^^;;
;D
Defnitely Hunter x Hunter - good story but the art puts me off...I stop reading good mangas coz I hate the art...and also some old mangas coz the art style really bugs me..dont remember at the mo'

o man, angel densetsu is underrated due to its (purposely) horrible arts...also, claymore (same author, figures) starts off with really really really bad arts, too...unfortunate since both are really wonderful and meaningful manga

Anyway, lessee here, the first to come to mind is Aa, Megami-sama--the beginning could definitely do with redrawing, and the mangaka is fully capable of doing it, too (it was pretty bad at the beginning, but later it gets very good; it's weird how it could change so much...). Also, One Piece's art is not much to brag about (it has that whimsical feel going for it, which is why I don't mind it, but if we're talking straight aesthetic quality here, it's pretty bad).
I have to agree also about CLAMP's earlier works... the ones that come to mind are RG Veda and Mahou Kishi Rayearth and such, things with those nasty gaudy eyes for the girls and those hugely broad-shouldered guys with skinny little pin-heads. And I know that the CLAMP ladies have the skill to do a good job if they want to (Chobits' artwork is pristine), so if they redrew them, I'm sure they would be great.
I'm sure I would have hundreds more to mention if I didn't very much avoid series with bad art. But I usually just say no to series like that (say hello to the thousands of series on my never going to read list...), so lucky you. ^_^

Karakuri circus !!!!
well i don't dislike the drawing but that something who could be quite good to draw again, with the marionette fight and the dark ambiance. That may be quite interesting to see.
And of course all shoujo
