A story with a girly guy lead ...

erm... the post title dosen't exactly describe what I am looking for but seeing as I was not sure how else to put it I'll do my best to explain it here.
Anyway, I'm looking for a story with a guy that genuinely enjoys doing things that would be considered stereotypically girly. Perhaps something like a hobby that would normally be considered purely a womans domain and area. otomen is such a story with a guy that enjoys cooking, sewing and dolls. Another such story would be Yubisaki Milk Tea, in which the guy quite likes dressing up as a woman. Cross- dressing is something he quite enjoys doing and therefore continues.
Just to clarify, I'm not looking for gender benders where the guy looks like a girl or is forced to dress like a girl because of some circumstance in the story. I'm not even looking for a story where the guy *has *to do something girly because he is forced to. There are plenty of them and I'm kind of tired of reading them. What I'm looking for is a story where the the main male lead genuinely has an aspect of his life that would normally be considered womanly or girly. This aspect is something he likes as it plays an essential part in his identity, like the stories above. Otomen and Yubisaki Milk Tea are such examples because such aspects are an important part of who they are.
Hope that makes sense but any suggestions would be welcome. I'm suprised by how hard such titles are to find, I havent really come across any stories like this except ones like the two above.

Well like you said it doesn't have to be a genderbender but I liked this one. Its about a boy and a girl in I think elementary school that deal with feelings of looking like/wanting to be the opposite sex. If I think of any more I'll post again.

well, I haven't read either of the stories you mentioned, but I think the story ToraDora rather fits your description. The male lead, Ryuuishi, is a very scary looking individual (inherited from his dad) that intimidates people at first glance.but really, he's a very nice, rather shy dude who enjoys cooking and has an obsession with cleaning. In a nice contrast, the female lead is small, adorable, voiced by Kugimiya Rie, and is the most frightening person in their school. She is crude, violent, and inconsiderate. It's a cute little romantic comedy because they both have a crush on each others best friends, leading to an interesting deal between them. The anime adaption began airing recently, and the manga isn't very far in the story. I recommend the original light novel, which has been wonderfully translated by Baka-Tsuki.
I also second Hourou Musuko, which is a touching little story, but it's got a sort of bittersweet tone to it.
Also, the male lead of Rozen Maiden, Sakurada Jun, has a love and talent for designing dresses, and coincidentally comes to own/serve a magical doll. One of my favorite manga, though not number 1 due to the astounding lack of romance. (any existing romance is purely between the lines)
Kimi wa Girlfriend is also a nice manga.

If Ryuji (Toradora) fits, then Chiaki of Nodame Cantabile is of the same breed: also cooks and is a compulsive cleaner.
Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume has a male pastry chef as a main character
Shounen-ai, but the main char of Kinou Nani Tabeta? is very housewife-ish about his cooking (and on the plus is otherwise mostly non-girly)
Second Kimi wa Girlfriend and Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume - they both fit perfectly.
Hmm, what else?
Nadeshiko Club works pretty well then...
Chocolate Cake, Shooting Star - cute oneshot
Brilliant Magic
I know there are more, but I can't think of them...
poof "SHOUJOMAN IS HERE!"

I think that W juliet would fit. Its has a male lead that is dressing/acting like a girl and he does not seem to mind. There is also a sequel to this but that has little of the cross dressing.

Queens The main character is very metrosexual. His father thinks he is gay, and often tries to beat him up when he sees him do girly things. He's in the home ec club at school. He also becomes an apprentice to a mangaka that draws shoujo comics.

wow, thanks very much everyone! Looks like I'm going to have plenty to read for the time being. Toradora, kimi wa girlfriend and Shibutani-kun Tomo no Kai sound very interesting in particular so I'll start with them. There are also a few that I knew of but hadn't even considered before in the context that I was asking for, so will also read them!.
these suggestions are more than enough as it is, but if there are any more that would be great, although that might be asking for a bit much 🙂
thanks again!
