Dogs and Dogs Bullets & Carnage
I have read alot of seinen manga, and this one is simply amazing. The stereotypes are almost nonexistent. the cast incredibly diverse, and includes a blind priest (ironic..haha) an ex-hitman, a nicotine addicted freelancer and a near-invincible trigger happy misogynist. The best part is the characters are so multifaceted and human, and their interactions are fairly believable. Sure, it isn't the flowery romance or the action series of epic proportions. It's a great story about people united by their awful pasts and trying to overcome them. Well that's my rant 😀
Oh, and if any of you are worried about the mature rating, it's only for a bit female frontal nudity in the one shot, and for various sexual puns. Well that's it for now 😀

Vagabond I loved, but then I just started to despise some of the characters. Like Musashi's childhood friend "Kojiro". And the fact that the story follows Otsu quite a bit, but I have a sinking suspicion that she'll end up with some other guy (Considering Musashi never married in real life... Though it is a -fictional- retelling... But I dunno if I want to get my hopes up 😛 ). So I haven't been able to get myself to read that for a while.
Uhh... Historie is amazing in the way that its told... And Vinland Saga is shaping up to be interesting.
Want to read more of Aflame Inferno, but that only started getting translated again recently.
Humm... Death Note got repetitive after the first half. If it had ended before then, it would've been deserving.
Slam Dunk... The main character is just sooo retarded, I can't get myself into it. Maybe its the way he looks, but everything about him rings stupidity. If the protagonist had been his rival, maybe I could have gotten into that. But unless the idiot shapes up later on in the manga, there's no way i could ever read it.
Great Teacher Onizuka is the only manga i was ever able to enjoy that didn't have an overarching plot that stood out.
Sanctuary was remarkable.

pfft... No manga deserves their popularity. How do you measure that on a fair scale? And, frankly, who cares how popular a manga is (except those earning bucks from it)? In the end the impression lies with you alone. This is just another "what shounen/seinen is best" topic. And imo there is no best.
This being said I don't mean mangas aren't worth any credit (or any work of fiction for that matter). 😀 😎

I totally agree about Naruto and Bleach. I watched a couple episodes of Naruto and it's probably the stupidest, most annoying anime I have ever seen. I like Bleach, but it's ridiculously corny.
I haven't read much shounen, but out of what I have, I'd probably say Death Note. After certain events that caused Mello and Near to be introduced, it got pretty bad and I stopped watching/reading. But before that, I loved it.
