Black and White Deserves to be more famous, its an amazing story.

Why do someone want a manga to be more popular? So it can be flammed immensely by haters and get hype beyond reason lol? Be happy that not all mangas are as popular as others. They are more special and somehow people think they are better 'cause of it. You kinda get a more personal feel with those lesser popular ones, and it feels better to read something you "discover" yourself. imo popularity is NOT a good thing in these matters. 😀 😎

I have to say that Hikaru no Go, Eyeshield 21, and Rurouni Kenshin are my favorites. They aren't that recognized, but they definitely do get their fame. ^^

One piece has made my books >> its a great story on friendship and battles, but unlike bleach and naruto, its more laid back and relaxing
also it has a nice plot and the story stays comical xD

Kuroshitsuji is a really good manga, but it just started, so we shall see if its gonna be worth reading.

Omamori Himari Was worth reading and getting attention, but for some reason it has completely lost my interest, same with Highschool of the dead

but as i said before, Midori no Hibi, Deadman Wonderland, Black and White, and Kuroshituji are the best shounen/seinen i have seen in a long while.

Firstly, Naruto isn't crap it's just overrated, it's an ok good manga not really great but ok good...bleach I dunno, it's clearly overrated, but well it's so-so as a manga...and death note is clearly overrated, the first 7 volumes are good and interesting but the last five are just complete crap, I honestly had a lot of trouble finishing it...

Then lets get down to business, I'd have to say that almost all the manga that people have said here xD...but especially gto, slam dunk, beck...I'd say that one piece is a really good manga as well, but I don't think it's underrated, since so many people already like it and it is famous already. Oh, yeah, nobody mentioned ichigo 100%! not really that much underrated, since it's appreciated but anyways i'd like to mention it

How do I tell if it's famous?
The stats on this site may not reflect it's popularity in Japan or the actual world where people buy their manga.

Anyways.... titles like Gunslinger Girl, Mushishi, Hatsukanezumi no Jikan, Nijigahara Holograph, Subarashii Sekai and 3 Gatsu no Lion recieve a lot of critical acclaim, and I believe they deserve every bit of it.

As far as I know, I'm not too familiar with manga popularities beside the big names like Naruto, Bleach, Air Gear, and etc. However, some titles I find deserving some spotlights are...

Shin Angyo Onshi - Personally, I find it reminiscence of Cowboy Bebop because the protagonist shares some resemblance (ie: badass, lonewolf, and cold attitude). The art is superb and the storyline is rather engaging, in my opinion. Also, the ending is one of the few I find interesting.

Team Medical Dragon - Don't know how popular this series is, but I like it a lot. The plot is relatively refreshing. Since instead of the usual battling monsters or bad guys, it concentrates on battling the corrupted hospital systems. Also the main protagonist is an eccentric doctor/surgeon which has hidden qualities which made him intriguing.

Yuria 100 Shiki - Alright, I'm a guy... it's ecchi and there's nudity here and there... but what I like about the series is the comedy. The series is one of the few that actually made me laugh so much. The random situations the protagonists find themselves in, series of misunderstandings, and commentaries made the series quite hilarious.

I know I have more series to praise, but I sorta can't think of it off the top of my head at the moment....

Chrno Crusade and World Embryo because they are amazing.

Shin Angyo Onshi is my favorite to the end. Beautiful drawing beautiful story. Beautiful.

other good stuff is Ares, One Piece (yes much better than Naruto and Bleach), FMA, Beck, Rookies (under radar), Hajime No Ippo, etc.
