Question for Female Otakus

I'm a female otaku, so much so that my roommate once jokingly called me "the ultimate manga resource". Personally I think it would be better if I did date a male otaku, just because I'm also not very social. A lot of my friends don't understand that I hate going shopping or out places and would rather stay home and read manga, science fiction/fantasy novels, or play video games. I'm fine with what I am even if other people find me a bit strange.
It would be nice if my boyfriend didn't refer to my (not-very-good) fan art that I do as "those funny Japanese cartoons with big wiggly eyes" like my sister and some of my friends do. 😀
You don't have an option for females who like other otakus.
I don't mind if I don't date anyone though, I'm happy by myself. After all, I still have my favorite 2D boys to keep me entertained in the meantime. 😉

Nice dude!! You can do it. Subtlety is for the weak.
Sabbia - make sure you post the pic on the forum so we can all see and judge if you two are a good match.

Well anyway at 21.23% its "They are not cute as the guys from animes/mangas in the" lead.
Well, we COULD say the same for you? NOBODY can be as moe as soem anime characters 😛 dont expect that everyone looks like your Yaoi fantasy.

I've had a crush on a boy /for about 3 years now.../ who's slightly otakuish. He likes the occasional manga or video game. So I guess he's more of an 'anime fan' than an 'otaku', but meh. Still too afraid to tell him how I feel since he's my best friend...
Just fucking tell him. There are good odds he's going to say yes. Trust me on this.

Yeah, odds are, he feels the same way. A boy could not be a friend of a girl for 3 yrs and not like her. If he is an Otaku type, he's probably having the same inner turmoil as you and also afraid t say anything.
You should confess and then tell us what happened 😀

Dating an otaku guy would be interesting, but challenging. I like gardening, cooking, dressing well, good parties and that sort of thing, but most otaku guys are a little too much Hot Topic anime dork and not enough Abercrombie. To put it bluntly. ^^;;

I strongly disagree. When im waya from my computer, im absolutely Otaku Free... unless someone wants to talk to me about anime/manga... then that side kinda seeps out and takes over. But yeah... I mean i do normal stuff too, like go out to party, i work... and when im really bored i go to the local park and just lie down on the grass XD gotta be a good sunny day tho 😛
Gardening and Cooking are a little... -.-"
Dressing Well is a must for me as well... i mean i dont want to go outside looking liek a total mess 😛 so im pretty damn picky with clothes too lol

Guys who wear Abercrombie are usually impotent.
Just gonna put that out there.

I think she's just talking about shirts with the Abercrombie logo. Otherwise, I don't know how you'd tell what brand something is. :S

No, I know a few Abercrombie wearers that are walking hard-on (can I say that here?) frat-boys, and others are completely homosexual (not in a derogatory way, just in a gay guys that love other gay guys way).
The rest are completely impotent
Lucky I don't wear that stuff, but I came dangerously close to wearing it once when I was in the military and had too much testosterone.

Whether or not my statement was actually true doesn't matter.
Just back me up, yo.
