.....did you happen to read what this topic is about? It's a poll on whether if God existed or not, in your opinion.
Did you read what I just wrote? the word God is too vague
I do not understand......it's a simple question concerning all religion and non religion. We got scientists, religion people, and everyone elses. Everyone else had no issue with it......but somehow....the cheese cake just doesn't suit you?
I hardly see any correlation between what religion you are and whether or not you believe in God......

btw....Is being sarcastic an offence 😕
Not at all! I'm just finding your attitude very refreshing after having read those 14 pages.
And yes, I more or less dropped the topic ( i did give my advice on this in the beginning) but i can't help but wonder if anything new came to mind. Let's say it's out of curiosity that i still check it. Plus it's the only one that's really active at the moment 😛

I was kind of looking back at the past 14 pages of posts and I find it very interesting that so many people see God in different ways. Some see him as an ideology, a savior, a force or even something that people have made up to make themselves feel better(Forgive me if I didn't include your take on God), I would hope that your questioning of God won't be limited to just this forum. Although discussing God is great but I think finding him for yourself is so much better. Lord knows there are all kinds of religions in the world, each with there own take on who God is. My favorite analogy to use is this idea of an elephant(God) and a group of blind kids(religions). They all are touching and feeling trying to figure out what God is. One kid might grab the trunk and believe that God must be a snake. Another may grab at a leg and say that God must be a tree and so on and so forth. They all have felt a different portion of God although they are not wrong they have not seen the whole thing to figure out what God truly is. I am not claiming to be some mystic who has discovered the entirety of God, but I am definitely on the right path. Hopefully I am not coming across as arrogant, but seeing God work in my life day in and day out is how i know that God is with me.

Evolution ...............out. ^^;
I see where you are comming from. as someone who doesn't believe in macroevolution though i will have to state the reason for me has to do with religious and objective views that have influenced my way of thinking. macro seems logical if u consider a huge amount of time. But who is to say that the earth has even been around that long for something of this nature to happen?
i guess i am like the stereotypical microevolutionist who believes that the species would adjust to accomodate the enironment but not to the point of turning into something else. it seems a bit extreme to me. while some things in nature like... butterflies are formed after stages of transformation, i just don't see something of this nature having happened to humans in the past. if so what is our next stage? when will it take place? will the earth still be here then?
while creation from God seems far fetched, i think the big bang is just as bad. frankly there are to many theories and not enough proof

Errrr I think the term y'all are thinking of is "agnostic".
As far as I know, athiests deny the existence of any god or higher power, while agnostics accept the existence of a god/higher power but think its nature is unknowable...or something like that.

I am an atheist so I do not believe in god. My meaning of life is to be born, kill, mate and to die or be killed.

I think its got to be pretty hard to be atheistic. I think there are far too many coincidences that happen in our daily lives to dictate that there isn't a higher force at work here.

A little study of statistics & probability pretty well convinced me that coincidences are just that - coincidences. No matter how small the chance of something happening is, there is still that chance. (Stats class was ~7 years ago and I don't remember much of it because I haven't used it at all since I took the final...so if anyone feels the need to get detailed, don't expect me to respond. 😛 )

Well take my case for example I grew up as a muslim. I don't think 3-4 yrs ago if someone were to tell me that I'd be going to Bible study, I would have responded with a pleasant demeanor. It took something incredible by no stretch that it was God. It took a lot of "conincidences" for me to find out who Jesus really was.
