Powers?

Hey,
Any suggestions on manga where the protagonist has some kind of ability or power that he doesn't really like to or is afraid to use or the ability is just so dangerous that it isn't safe to use it... And if this protagonist is somehow angry or panicking etc., the power(s) will go out of control. If you can think of anything simiral to this would be great 🙂
I can't think of any examples... Any genre is fine, but I don't really like horror...
Thanks 😀

You probably already know about it, but... Inuyasha. Not THE main character, but one of them.
Weird, i'm sure i know a lot more, but i can't remember right now.

Yep, I know abour it. It was actually the very first manga I read 😀 And used to my one of my favourites. 🙂
Berserk, later on the manga (much later actually)
Ao no exorcist
The Legend of Maian (On the second part)
Nanatsu no Taizai Later on the manga
Claymore
Most are Shonenish because this is a more shonen/seinen sort of troop. I know there are more I had read, but I don't have much on my Netbook..

Toukyou Kushu human becomes a ghoul, a sort of human eating being. This might be considered horror, but it focuses much more on themes like good vs evil, and being human (the ghouls are pretty human-like) than it does on horror. But there are instances of death and extreme violence.
Verdant Lord Well... he doesn't complain about his powers too much, but they're definitely unwanted. Plant related powers.
Strike the Blood Has all the power of one of the original vampires, can't control it.
Antimagia Missing prince returns to his kingdom with magical powers, but those powers come at a steep price.
Chronos - Deep Living shadows that steal the warmth from their human hosts. Using their shadows too much can cause them to get cold and die.
Monochrome Factor World of shadow vs light. If I remember right I thought the writing on this one was laughibly bad, but I liked the idea behind it.
3x3 Eyes Not too many consequences to his powers, although he does get damaged by overusing beast magics on occasion. He can't die, at all, so there's some reasonably expected body parts flying when fighting demons, but the tone is never meant to be dark and gruesome.
Dawn - Tsumetai Te Plague related powers? He loses control of himself and kills other plague infested bodies. Sometimes confusing to follow what's happening once in awhile.
Some that might not fit your request so well.:
Rosario to Vampire - Season II, eventually has this, but it doesn't become the main focus until way late in the series. You'd have to read a lot to get the the part where that happens.
Devilman This one... is mostly horror. But if you like older manga, you might like it anyway.
World Embryo eventually fits... Kind of a tedious story, in my opinion, but I let people decide for themselves.

Does Pandora Hearts count? Oz
can go "power berserk" due to his connection to B-Rabbit. However, it's what happens later into the story where Oz doesn't want to use his ability/connection to harm other people. I don't want to say it even in a spoiler tag, because this is all plot related so newcomers should not read it.
07-Ghost - More like, he doesn't know how to use it (and not what he learned when he was growing up). Since his "ability" has a mind of its own, it will show up when its "master" is at his weakest point.
I know I've read something else with protagonists, who lose control with powers/abilities that overwhelm them, but I'm drawing a blank right now. I can only think of these two popular titles. If I remember something, I'll edit it in here. This is usually a typical situation that a lot of shounen MCs face when I think about it.

Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu.
Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei.
And maybe Noblesse.
Seconded and highly recommended; all three of those have made it into my Top 20.
And maybe Reimei no Arcana (http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=40067)
Kanata Kara (http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=4875) could possibly make the list as well.

I think 666 Satan and Psycho Busters apply. They're both finished btw.
