I am really into shoujo mangas, so perhaps I can help you. 🙂
+360° Material - it's about a strange guy and girl who share wierd interests with each other. they are really pure and caring.
+Beniiro Hero - it's one of my favorites. I hope you don't mind sport as well. it's about a tomboy who loves playing volleyball so much. in her new school there isn't any girl volleyball team, so she decides to start one. while practising she meets the boys' team and the love begins. 🙂
+Akuma de Sourou - it was made by the same mangaka. it's about step-siblings' love. the boy has a lot of difficulties with his family, and that's why he tends to be cold to his girlfriend. sometimes it can make you cry.
+Yasuko to Kenji - it's about an overprotective brother and a stubborn sister. one day the girl meets a boy with whom she falls in love but the brother really hates it. it has a lot of funny scenes . 🙂
+Tonari no Atashi - it's really painful and sad love story between childhood friends.
+Sunadokei - I really love this one. it's about a mature girl and boy who love each other from the very beginning. the girl has lots of tough time in her life.
+Orange (TAKANO Ichigo) - I don't really know what you think about tragedy mangas, but I hope you will like it. it's about a girl who gets a letter from her older-self who is full of regrets. the older-she warns her not to let even a single possibility in her life.
+Obaka-chan, Koigatariki - do you mind love triangles? it's about a boy who wants to take revenge on his friend that's why he attracts the girl who his friend likes.
+Love So Life - it's about a younger female and older male. the girl is an orphan and she really likes children. the guy has a lot of difficulties with taking care of his sibling's children, so the girl helps him out.
+Switch Girl!! - I love this one soo much! 🙂 it's about a girl and boy who have two personalities. in the school the girl is popular and the guy is a loser. it's really funny!
+Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji - on one hand I really hate this on the other hand I can't help reading it. it's about an arrogant asshole who doesn't really care about anyone but himself and about a girl who does everything for this jerk. however it seems he wasn't loved at all or he is really disappointed. I don't know but it gives me heart-aching.
I hope this will suit your taste! have fun!

Same here. Once I was seriously annoyed by the stereotypical developments in the genre, but a few days ago I realized, that I 'm back into Shoujo and that there are still some 'refreshing storylines' out there, which have been able to catch my attention. So, maybe one of those will suit your taste ... ^^
Completed:
- Strobe Edge - Well, this one is the reason I'm still reading Shoujo these days. It's one of the few stories about one-sided love, which have been able to get along without any overly depressing or dramatic moments. ^^
- Aniki wa Tsunayoshi! and Eikaiwa School Wars - Rather old school, but the storyline and tension have been quite worth it's while. Also, the characters have been likeable.
- Blue (SAKISAKA Io) and Heaven's Door (HONGOU Ranko) - A bit painful at first glance, but a really nice short read.
- Don't Cry, Girl - The characters are simply ... weird, but placed in a warm and cute atmosphere, so that everything seems to be at the right place.
- Mayonaka no Ariadone - Great atmosphere.
Ongoing:
- Ao Haru Ride - I haven't started reading this one, but after Strobe Edge and the description, it will probably be interesting to see, what the author is able to pull off this time.
- Bitou Lollipop - Tension, twists and in between some smiles.
- Chihayafuru - I wouldn't have guessed, that I would actually like a story about a card game, but this one was captivating, mainly because of the character growth within the storyline.
- Hirunaka no Ryuusei - It just started, but the main character already got me on her side, just because of the refreshing way she thinks.
- Principal - Again, liekable storyline and cute characters.
- Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun - The characters are unique, also the way they deal with things and how they slowly get closer to each other ... Unpredictable, cute and funny, but the background of the storyline is rather serious and in the end everything well-balanced.
- Torikagosou no Kyou mo Nemutai Juunintachi and Kimi wa Kirakira- Same here.
- Yume Miru Taiyou - Rather unique characters placed in a well-known set up, but even though a nice read.
Also, I would like to second Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji, simply because the main character is in my eyes not even that cold, but rather mature for his age - and one has to love the sadistic smile and annoyed faces, he can make by times. ^^"
"It's like love is a bonus in your life. Even without it, I'm just fine. I don't feel like pointlessly searching for it. You don't have to make yourself unhappy." (Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji)
"Why does it rain?" - "To create drama." (Drops (Andou Yuki))
