Hi~

I'm looking for Xianxia / Wuxia recommendations...light novels are also fine if they fit the requirements.

**What I would like: **

Interesting characters and plot.
No idealistic or unrealistically noble main character(s). No hesitation in killing enemies (showing mercy to enemies in most cases is stupid)
Excellent Worldbuilding (*No RPG setting though * )

Please don't suggest anything with an irritating or preachy lead/plot ^^ I like protagonists who think about their own welfare first instead of sacrificing themselves for world ^^

The main reason I like Xianxia / Wuxia stories is because the protagonists don't hesitate to kill or torture their enemies. Light novels usually don't have such protagonists.

Of course good story is equally important. Don't really want clichéd wuxia /Xianxia stories or the stories which keeps running in a loop. Power-ups are fine but there should be plot progress.

*What I have read: *

Against the Gods (it's really good)
Battle through the Heavens
Coiling Dragon (It's too repetitive so I kind of dropped it)
Douluo Dalu (Dropped it)
I shall seal the Heavens (it's superb!)
ID (I like the setting and sentimental weapon part)

(No MMORPG setting please)

Xiuluo Wushen (Novel) Extremely arrogant however ruthless, no hesitation in killing whatsoever.

Special Mention:
Mushoku Tensei (Novel) Completed and a great story.

Other Xianxia's you can read if you ever get bored.
Da Zhu Zai (Novel) The start was okay, I think it got better later on. It's a good read if you have nothing else (I don't remember killing, im not sure tho)
Tales of Demons and Gods (Novel) Interesting, but the main character pretty much knows everything so there's not a lot of since in urgency
Heavenly Jewel Change (Novel) Not far into translation but is pretty good.
Wu Dong Qian Kun (Novel) Just started this, feels like the generic xianxia

Tales of Demons and Gods (Novel) - great world building and characters, mc is cunning and manipulative, reborn as his past self with the chance to change the future
Peerless Martial God (Novel) - extremely ruthless mc that will always returns even the smallest slight, focuses on acquiring power and revenge
Limitless Sword God (Novel) - reborn as his past self with the chance to change his fate
Genius Sword Immortal (Novel) - unique, mc is a reborn martial artist from the world of the immortals in modern day Japan, very ruthless with no hesitation in even killing witnesses

Edit: I just saw that Tales of Demons and Gods got mentioned above, but I'm going to leave it because it is awesome. I would say it has a similar feel as the beginning of Against the Gods (Novel) in that even though he has the knowledge he does not have the body/training of his former life yet. I agree that he seems to always be in control.
