I tried using the search function, but not much comes up for yaoi + horror. 😢
So I'm hoping for recommendations for yaoi or shounen-ai that has dark themes.
It can be / have :
- horror
- gothic
- psychological
- gore
- murder
- supernatural
- tragedy
- dark ambience
- madness
I'm not looking for something which is just about strange sex or rape (still traumatised by the rat tail rape in Kudan no Kuroneko 😔 ), and not really wanting torture either. 🤢
I'd prefer there to be a good story, so the BL doesn't have to take up much of the plot (the relationship can be implied rather than explicit).
Something in the style of Yuki Kaori (Boys Next Door) or Higuri You (Ludwig II) would be good.

Maybe Yami no matsuei (shounen-ai not yaoi) though I must admit I got tired of it.
And, just because I really liked it, I recommend Petshop of Horrors. Unfortunately, there is only BL subtext (Snif !), but, well.

From Dusk till Dawn - action, supernatural. Shounen-ai

NightS, Tadayoedo Shizumazu, Saredo Naki mo Sezu, Don't Stay Gold, and others by YONEDA Kou. If you have not read Yoneda-sensei's Katekyou Hitman Reborn! doujinshi, I cannot recommend them highly enough. You do not have to be familiar with KHR! to enjoy them, as they have a life of their own. Stories that fit your request include:

note that only the first four do not have weird and traumatizing things in it. The last two are a bit dark and twisted
there are many more but i can't seem to rember their names You could also try looking up yaoi and psychological/tragedy/horror on either mangafox or bakamanga
