For tags that are new, or tags that should have more listed under it.
This thread is for the awareness of Tags. Tags that are new, or tags are unpopular, but should be used more often. The point is to makes search with tags a lot more effective.
If you could take a look at all the tags, and keep them in mind with you daily reading of manga (or however often you read). Also if you could keep checking every once in a while for new posts.
*For new tags:
Make sure it was approved in the Categories(Tags) Bug Thread. It's also for suggestions
Seeing as it would be pointless for others be aware of a tag that might get deleted. (For whatever reasons an Admin would delete a tag). To be on the safe side, make sure it's approved first.
Format:
Please bold the Tag(s) and put a small description. Feel free to quote from Category Clarification (read the first post)
I recently got Half Siblings approved, and it would be great if there was help tagging it to mangas.
Half Siblings - Brother(s) and Sister(s) related by blood from only one parent.
[For Mods, it would be nice if this was pinned. Seeing as I don't think there will be many posts, and the purpose of this thread is to make others aware of tags not being used often, or new.
-Sidenote. Wasn't sure which section to place this in ...
Oh, and if the title needs work... After creating it. Tag(s) awareness thread sounds more fitting...]

Disposable Characters - Where all the characters expect the One main Character (maybe) can/will be killed off. (A do not get attached to any side characters sort of thing)
Now about lead characters with glasses (Since side characters wearing glasses shouldn't be tagged)
Stop using the Bespectacled Protagonist tag. There's plans to delete it.
Instead use
Glasses-Wearing Female Lead - Female lead wears glasses
Glasses-Wearing Male Lead - Male Lead wear glasses
Glasses-Wearing Seme - Seme wears glasses
Glasses-Wearing Uke - Uke wears glasses
*Now for for Shounen Ai I think it would be best to use the Male lead one since as BL readers may know whoever turns out to be the Seme/Uke may surprise you. Unless it's slightly more explicit and you can tell who's the Seme/Uke.

Thx kitty1826x for opening this thread. I should be one of the most prolific category-bees on the site i will be giving this lovely thread the traffic it deserves .
Animal Cruelty: Explains itself as some reader can feel more for animals then humans.
I mentioned it in the other thread as it is making the round and is even applied to porn. You know that your child has hit it big if that happens. Right? So let´s continue to use it.
Examples are: Berserk I came up with it here as Gut´s light the tails of a few horses on fire to cause confusion during an escape, his dad beats his dog and a million horses/exotic animals die horrendously. The skullknight forums even have an animal kill counter!
Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei Is a bit more traditional as Abiru Kobushi loves to cut off the tails of animal and another one loves to abuses dogs. Feel free to come up with missing "content warnings" on your own too.
Emancipation: I came up with it because of Ryuu - Ron and mentioned this creation of mine in the other thread. The spread is nice and whoever gave it to All Rounder Meguru + Teppuu is a hero as i oversaw to give it out myself. Rookie mistake there but we are sleeping one BIG aspect of the word.
Japan: Explains itself and i came up with it as the top 3 out of the top 10 bestselling manga of all time aren´t set in japan and the divide get´s bigger down the list. My favorite series isn´t set in japan and is yours? I personally hand out the era/period whenever i can and the always japan / or the right geographical location + the correct century. These don´t need to be highly up-voted so they get highlighted but just view then as good background information and don´t sleep on them in the future. The entire world could be mapped out a bit better if you ask me.

I have read a lot of books on the history of comics/ manga and the wiki article is good but here the problem in short.
Gekiga was an art movement with a set time period like let´s say the British Invasion (in music or american comics form) that ended somewhere in the 80s. Not only are a lot of the ones tagged as such way too young but most even lack the subject matter to fit (or the up-votes). I will drop all of the wrongly tagged Gekiga manga in the other thread very soon. What followed was Nouvelle Manga. Secret Comics Japan is thus also not Gekiga but a good representation of the follow up movement. I invented that category and have spread it a bit so use that from now on if your "dramatic pictures manga" came out after let´s say 1985 as this was the year Adolf ni Tsugu ended which could have been the swan song for Gekiga. The sole modern one that checks out is Gekiga Hyouryuu because it is a biography about the creator of gekiga so it is a theme and not a sub-genre here.
So it´s a Nouvelle Manga about Gekia. We have a vast amount of unmapped Gekiga manga and i will tag them in the future.
I further look up categories/terms i can´t define as we are on the web so please only vote and more importantly apply tags only if you can give a definition of that word first.
Nudity: Explains itself and i came up with it as we really needed to differentiate between the two versions and Sweet Days (TAKASUGI Kou) + 25 other hentai titles have the partial version. These tags lie as there is nothing "partial" about anal.
So if a manga on your reading list now has both then down-vote the unfitting one and please DON´T give any of them to hentai or even worse apply Borderline H to porn.
This tag is also useful by the fact alone that we have manga as Emma that feature nudity but aren´t ecchi or mature/adult. Some viewers may give out Ecchi to such series to "age-gate" them but that is just retarded. I go for nudity when a manga has more then one panel of nipples (or worse) in it. Nausicaä and Meteor Methuselah are save (of both tags) by me as there is only one bare breast to be seen but Boku no Chikyuu o Mamotte + Aruku Hito (one reviewer even complained) were not. Easy and the tag is spreading so well done.
While we are here: If anyone is curios what i consider my personal tagging standard then look at Major 2nd which i categorized on the first 2 chapters alone for now (only baseball is old) and my knowledge of the author. I will add or remove stuff as we go on and don´t sleep on high resolution covers as the one before was a disgrace. Make your manga shine and grab a juicy original tankobon cover from amazon like i will later on.
Villain Protagonist: I invented it as we have many such tales and tagging them with Antihero / Heroine is just a bad idea. Examples are: Rurouni Kenshin Uramaku - Honoo o Suberu, Shamo and Wolf & Mary.
Do me a solid here too and spread the somewhat related Byronic Hero a bit more.

Both and e.g. the Punisher are antiheroes btw. as they fight on the side of the angels!
Newer examples are: Re:Monster - To a degrees i have barely seen in a manga! How many women does he keep? + The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor - As that series managed to present level grinding
and blind arrogance as a heroic trait. Ironman is one too or how about popular 80s action heroes as Rambo (2-4 only). A lot of us love such tales so let´s tag them shall we and bonus points to whoever gave Boku no Chikyuu o Mamotte that tag as you showed me a side of Rin/Shion overlooked.
To sum up: Never fear to come up with distinct tags of your own in the future as this isn´t rocket science and we are a community after all.
Here is an example that surprised me a bit: I came up with Antisemitism due to the German "classic" Mein Kampf (Variety Art Works) and gave it to the other Hitler manga when i invented it to prove the tags worth. I then noticed later that Anne Frank exists. I then remembered that Monster / Ryuu - Ron have such subplots and even the historic Cesare. See what i mean (and Jews sure have it hard).
If your tag is good then it will prove it´s use time and time again especially if you give it to a few distinct series at once during your introduction. There you have it folks. A lot of hopefully varied ideas for future.
Remember that your series (or reviews!) will only be found after the manga ends if you gave it´s database entry the time it deserves first before you take it of your reading list. Unleash your evil and i accept homework too.
