Born in 1760 and Died in 1849.

Tezuka may be the "God of Manga", but that's only what modern manga is concerned. Manga existed well before Tezuka, and even before the word itself was coined, people were of course drawing. In any case, Hokusai is the woordblock-print artist who has invented the word "manga". The word, meaning "Involuntary (or whimsical) sketches". Even though he coined the word in 1814, it didn't come into popular use until the beginning of the 20th century.

Being the father of the word "manga", Hokusai is considered to be the first "mangaka".

Hokusai often used grotesque and supernatural in his woodblock prints.
