ITOU Risa debuted in 1987. After that, while writing many stories, "Oruchuban Ebichu" became a big hit. Suddenly, she became famous as an "ecchi gag" mangaka. Her stories written based on her own experiences are also excellent. The names of her pet cats are Nyanko and Kuro. In May of 2005, her manga "Oi Piitan!" won Kodansha's Manga Award.
