| Announcing History! Inside Scanlation! |
It is my pleasure to announce the grand opening of website Inside Scanlation!
As you all know, one of MangaUpdates' focuses is on scanlations. Inside Scanlation details the history of the scanlation process. There are articles about different sectors of the scene, from speed scanlations to Lurk to our own site here. There are also interviews with various sites, groups, and organizations, including an IRC interview with me and Manick, njt from MangaHelpers, and even something from TokyoPop. Even if you have only a cursory interest, I highly recommend you check out the site.
Two cool things I want to point out.

Inside Scanlation is the work of Gum, who compiled all this data into the baby you see now. It has been a work in progress for the last 3 years, and now it has seen the light of day. May we see more updates in the future! |

| New Poll - Endings that Suck |
The new poll's slightly ambiguous, but oh well. Interpret it however you like. It was suggested by our member icassop.
If you're wondering, for instance, lots of people say that Ichigo 100% had a bad ending, but would you still read it regardless? (I personally liked it though, so screw you guys.)

| Welcome to the migrated server ...! |
If you can see this, you're officially on the migrated server. It's not faster or anything than the old one, but it had to be done.
If you posted something just after I exported the database, it might be missing. In that case, please post it again, and we're sorry for the inconvenience.
We're not 100% done yet... so some things might come and go and break over the next few days, but we'll keep at it till we've got it finished.

| More MangaHelpers Information |
For those of you following the MangaHelpers events, they have released a FAQ explaining more details about the draft proposal. Head on over to give it a read, and learn more about the issue.
It appears that the leak caught them by surprise, and they weren't able to coherently deal with the issue in such a short short amount of time (with the release of the initial explanation post). I've read their FAQ and find their idea intriguing. Depending on how it is managed as well as the reaction of publishers, it could be a very unique opportunity for some in the community. I will reserve my judgment for a future date.
Also, the MU server was down for a few hours due to another bad power cable. As you can see, we are back up. This is not related to the downtime we will be having as we move our servers during the next few weeks, as discussed here. |

| New Poll - Disneyland |
Sorry, I have like 5 minutes to do all this poll stuff because I'm going to Disneyland for the first time in about 8 years.
Edit:
Poll has been changed so that it applies to ANY of the Disney resorts in the world (which was what I originally meant in the first place, but I guess some people took it a little too literally. As a side note, I attended the one in California, as I go to school in UCLA
