stories are fine, but the transitions are all super abrupt

I feel like this author ended and started each chapter super abruptly. it was strange, like she ended mid-thought and began where she left off.

I liked the last two stories better than the first. The first felt very underdeveloped, the progress is really random and you don't even get a sense as to how the student fell for the guy in the first place. I forgot all about the first couple by the end of the book and was only reminded of them in the afterward. The other two weren't the best, but at least felt like there was more development and chemistry between the characters. I think I liked the suicide one the best (it sounds bad to say it that way when no one dies lol); it was lighthearted for such a heavy topic and holds the promise for more instead of trying to establish a relationship by the end. The third one was cute, but I really didn't buy the relationship between Nao and Shouta by the end (I even though Nao had more potential with the occult guy). An extra chapter would have been sufficient to establish their relationship more, at least to ascertain Nao's feelings for Shouta (they aren't explicitly made clear that he likes him, just that he misses him).

I'm not too crazy about any of the stories, but the last one is at least the most decent, since there's finally some development, even if very mildly at that. The conclusion is still indecisive as ever though, which seems to be this author's specialty now lol. Her stories never seem to have a point or at least a "Bang!" of an ending. They're quite easily forgettable too.

SURE THE PLOT IS NORMAL AND THE CHARACTERS LOOK PLAIN-LOOKING, BUT THAT'S THE BEAUTY OF IT! I LOVE HOW IT'S TAGGED AS YAOI YET EVERY STORY GETS TO BE A SHOUNEN AI!!! THE STORIES ARE CUTE (tho the second one was rushed). Still, it's great!!! Slice of Life all the way!!!

One out of three

Unlike 801crazed, below, I liked the first story the best. Despite the potentially sleazy premise, it had the most realistic feeling of the three oneshots: almost like something that could actually happen. Its strong point is the characters: they were truly likeable, with believable insecurities and desires. I really appreciated how restrained and considerate Saitou was (still, what a tragedy it is that in the yaoi world, a seme who behaves like a decent human being is actually the exception and not the rule), and it wasn't done in the "let's take a uke-looking guy and make it so that he only becomes a f**k-demon when in bed to trick people who don't like the seme archetype!" way either. He felt like a real person; a person who didn't become a rapist at the same time he realised he was a top. Mitsuya was also quite likeable in his own way: persistent -- but not annoyingly so -- and sure of what he wants, which is just what was needed to overcome his older partner's unnecessary scruples.

Tsunaide, tsumuide was all right at first, but it ended up going the "If a gay guy keeps hitting on a straight guy under the guise of being "just a good friend," maybe someday the straight guy will fall for him, too!" route, which I dislike because it's not only ridiculous but also pathetic.

Maigo-kun was so-so: not terrible, but really nothing new or interesting, either.

Tl; dr: I wasn't very impressed with the collection as a whole, but the title story was sweet, so I may consider reading something else by this mangaka in the future.

I did not really care for the first story but the other two stories were lovely. They both had a unique twist. The art was cute and nicely drawn through out the volume. I will definetly read more from this mangaka.
