Don't get me wrong, I love the art style and the younger-seme-older-uke thing, but there's a limit to the creepiness I can stand. Taking an unconscious man to your place is pushing it, taking him back when he's asleep and clearly unwilling is over the line, and bugging the room and making a spare key is just icing on the creepy cake. If I was Ryouji I'd call the cops! Also, all that happening in just the first chapter made me hesitant to continue reading.

I loved the steward the best but giving him a romance interest was too much. There was no chemistry between either couple and I was just thankful I could enjoy the couple bits I liked (the little girl mostly).

it may seem like your averange yaoi manga but actually guys this thing made me think a lot... :S
In the manga, the uke appeared to be a guy whose only purpose in life was to work. He wouldn't go home for days and stayed at his workplace and worked, worked, worked! His house was empty, he only had a bed to sleep, his fridge was empty since he wasn't often at home to cook or do anything. He kept his place without furniture or other things because he never had visitors and he had no hobbies. Of course I know it's just a manga but his situation broke my heart (people are moved by movies, books, etc so I hope that's not too weird for me...:S). This is only fiction but I hope there are no people out there who work so much that they don't have enough time to enjoy life, think of themselves and have hobbies, dreams in life, develop their personalities, etc.

I second (3rd? 4th?) that the editors should have allowed Mishima-sensei to make the 'oyaji' look like... well, 'oyaji'. Since the older guys are over thirty, it won't hurt to make them actually look so. Moreover, it would have been an experience worth itself. Well, I enjoyed the story - mostly for its humour I guess because the 'love' part of it isn't too emphasized. I like how Mishima-sensei's characters interact and that's just a personal opinion. And their expressions are... lovely XD. Worth a read, I believe, especially if you're looking for a light story with lots of humour!

Good for what it is. I actually liked the main couple's interactions the best. I thought the butler's story was a bit rushed and stereotypical, with very little explanation as to why they liked each other, or even how they met. The first couple, though, at least had some interesting hurdles to overcome.

Honestly I didn't really like it. The characters all looked the same, and I didn't really believe the story. I mean supposedly the rich highschooler has an oyaji complex right? Right... Seriously, Ryuunosuke could have been anyone from any family, the whole rich kid theme was hardly used, and when it was it was used in a way that was more of an excuse than anything else. And the oyaji complex? Psh. Ryouji looked to be in his twenties. Finally I didn't really feel a reason behind their love, sure its just yaoi, but I still don't want to see two people thrown together just because they can be.

A Good Read

I'd fall over with glee if editors would stop interferring with the art of the mangaka: both in story and in art. The butler totally needed to look older. That would have made it more powerful.
The story was good. It was quick-paced and funny at times. I liked the sharp, darkly-lined drawings.
Overall, the story was not powerful enough to be memorable for me. Worth the read, but not fall-over-dead good.
The butler's story was slightly more magnetic: his inability to deal with (or recognize even) his feelings was well played.

Hmmm, well the art is a little odd, and I do agree they are all drawn in a similair manner, but it wasn't bad. The story was a little mediocre, but it was well carried. Honestly, the man doesn't look older at all. I read the bit about the editor saying no to wrinkles, what a pity.

Eventhough the charachters in Mishima's manga all look the same, I still like them^^ and this manga is funny and nicly drawn.
