this is laugh out loud funny. i am not really a fun of manly, overly strong heroines who somehow hates men and have zero knowledge of love but this one is just so funny that i was happy enough to read it til the end and it was one volume only which is good because another volume will just be killing it, i mean, yeah. for some reason i didnt like any of the characters maybe except for Musashi but anyway, i laughed so its all good.

Read it for the comedy. Otherwise, if I was rating it's romance factor, I'd give it a 4 for romance but 8 for the comedy. It's not the best romance is kind of predictable at times. But the Art is good and it's pretty interesting!

This was absolutely hilarious! I'm really happy that Otome actually stuck to her distrust of men and was more adamant about being better then men, because oh so many mangas have the main character be strong and independent in like the first chapter then weak and teary in the remaining, but I'm really happy that she stuck through and was fine with being manly.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
That part when he said he was married to donuts killed. The expresssions afterwards was certainly one of a kind.
If only this was longer then this would get a 10, just from the cute story and how silly it was

Good for a chuckle, but unremarkable.

The idea of a super manly, men-hating girl (for reference, imagine an even manlier version of Misaki from Kaichou wa Maid-sama) moving to a village made up of 98% guys is pretty out-of-this-world to begin with, but this was even crazier than I had expected. I probably should've paid more attention to the "gag" category, which is absolutely accurate. There's a husband-choosing competition (including a race to change lightbulbs... for a chandelier), cross-dressing café for the school festival, and so on. It's insane, but sort of amusing. Too bad I didn't like her "prince charming", who turned out to be a wimpy guy who's married to donuts, and I'm not a fan of females chasing after guys in general (though in this situation, the way she basically out-mans him is pretty funny). I found Musashi more interesting, and was confused why it seemed like he was positioned to be a rival at the beginning, only for it to never materialize. All in all, this might give you a chuckle, but it's otherwise unremarkable and not even particularly memorable.

This is a really weird series. The first chapter feels more like a parody than anything else. If it's not a parody, it's really stupid, but otherwise, it's really funny.

The main girl, Otome, is from a rich (?) family and hates all men because she realized when young that boys aren't kind princes... so she learned to do everything on her own to be self-sufficient. Her family forces her to move to a village where most of the inhabitants are men, and she has to marry one of them. So she decides to hold a contest, and the man who can beat her in the contests will be her fiance. To no one's surprise, a likely candidate appears... who can climb high ladders, catch cockroaches, and eat donuts with the best of them. Otome is of course totally clueless about boys, but everyone else seems to be having fun with the idea of her getting married...
