I found the first story not that great. Aside from certain parts of the plot here, that were just disturbing, I found it to be not dramatic and moving enough. I found to be rather "eh" all while dealing with a very disturbing topic and so I can't say I liked it that much. I wish it would have make me feel with the characters more.
The 2nd story was not bad. I liked that one but again, it seemed a bit shallow, which cannot be helped much since these are all oneshots. Still, for me this was the best story out of the 3.
The 3rd story was confusing at first and just rushed to the end, I'm feeling indifferent about it.
I didn't feel much of a connection with any of the characters and none of the stories really moved me or anything to stay in my memory for too long.
If you are in for the smut then go for it! But if you look for happy stories and sane characters then look elsewhere.

I love these three short stories. Because they are sort of unique and realistic, and you don't see these "dark" subjects everyday in yaoi.
I would guess that the first story is my favorite. I've re-read it many times, and after some months, I read the second and third story as well. All three is very good though.
I found it hard to understand sometimes, but that could be my not-so-good english. I really like the art as well.

This piece is unapologetic! I was pleasantly surprised because I was disappointed with Bitter Fruit's ability to draw me into the stories.
Kano-sensei deals with a few sensitive issues and controversial topics that always garner strong opinions.
These stories are not for those that like the sweet and traditional, or more commonly thought of BL ukes and seme illustrations and story lines. They are twisty and probably offensive to some. I found them to be thought-challenging, compelling stories. They were all short, but the character development and connectedness of her stories are dramatically better with this collection.
The art isn't 'pretty,' but it is composed well and simple. It matches the 'tone' of the story.

the first story is abt a young boy who was sexually harassed and how it affected his young life, and his school life... and comes to a weird but not totally unexpected ending. I didnt really favor this story much out of the 3
risky (the 2nd one) is abt this boy and his brother's friend who stay together a few days and how their relationship develops,once again the same old plot you see everywhere. nothing remarkable in terms of plot
the 3rd story is the best and my fave, which is why I am rating it 7.8 instead of the 6.8 I intended earlier. short but meaningful and yet humorous, do not miss it!
