This was just TOO childish for my taste. I felt that there was something lacking along the storyline and it was never really dealt with. Plus, the main objective was already quite obvious,so to speak---style hair;transform another, magic, viola. The plot was just repetitive and it just dragged for a staggering 10 volumes, get a load of that.
I really have to disagree with the fact that this manga sets it apart from other mainstream works. The only reason it does so is because of the stoic facade the female shows.
It's not fantastic at all in my own opinion, not being a hater but considering how overrated this is
is already enough proof. Come to think of it,without the whole beauty makeover and hair cutting, this might just turn out to be a seemingly common plot...

I love the female lead. She's cool and self-centered but she actually cares about people. The male lead, love him! he's not the cliche dense guy in usual mangas and I like the fact that he's chasing his dream. Basically this manga isn't about romance,it focused on their dreams.
The plot is interesting and story line is not so cliche. I didn't expect Ochiai to fall in love with Kiri.
But the ending disappoints me. What's the point by going to L.A with her mom and then came back few years later? Sheesh.. Also the biggest problem is "THEY DIDN'T KISS". It was once, and it's an accident. Although I was happy but still.. Well, hugging is enough though,I like hugs more but it's just ONE HUG. :'( hff.. Anyway,I love it. Fun to re-read.
I'd give it a ten if she didn't go to L.A

As you can see, there are tons of reviews stating how amazing this manga was. I don't really get why. This manga has a really uninteresting plot. It gets pretty repetitive, and there has never been a too big of a change in the characters.
Over that, it lacks romance, and the characters are childish to the bone. It might be interesting if I knew where to begin reading, because the beginning and probably 30 chapters + don't have any change or acton. I don't know. Maybe this manga does get interesting. But I'm not going to start hacking through those bushes to find that plot I need.
I feel like smacking the book on to the ground. Literally.

This is a manga I often come back to. It has parts that I just can't forget and love to re-read. I never felt like it was dragging, even though, essentially, the same scenario repeated itself.
If this had been a shounen, Kiri would have been your typical strong heroine hiding her powers, but it's a shoujo so it works well. I personally love all of the characters; there are no really evil characters and no reoccuring annoying girls. The ending rounds things off, as opposed to leaving it open-ended, and is a nod to the romance in the story which is often only an undertone.
I like this manga. It has a slow, laid back quality while at the same time moving forward with new situations and new characters. I thought that the character introductions were mostly natural and very few characters were forgotten about.

The story was cute and the characters were good. Kiri as the main female character was awesome! I hope to read more manga that has characters like her. The flow of the manga was satisfying. It is entertaining, especially when towards the ending. The art was good and it was funny at times too. I would recommend it to everyone.

I have read a large amount of shoujo and sometimes it's hard to finish them (because of the cliches and long developments) but that has never happened in this. I loved it so much >.< The characters, plot development, art! All of it can be described as cute in my opinion. I love how Arai-sensei tried to get out the box from regular cliches and I thank her for that. I have laughed so many times because of this manga and I must say all in all it's a good read!

This is a definitely well done manga, her personality is lovable. Kiri is not your typical shoujo heroine, her personality is strong and not once did she turn into a crybaby. I really loved this manga i would recommended this to anyone who likes a female to have a strong personality.

I usually only enjoy fantasy and action, but this was a great change of pace for me and I actually enjoyed it. I didn't get bored with it at all and had a great time reading it. It had cute romance and some humor. Also, the main character was unique (she wasn't like every other shoujo main character). I liked the art and I reccomend this to anyone looking to read a great manga.

The story was enjoyable. At first, the plot seems repetitive with them only trying to make girls look good but as the story goes on, it progressed. It's about making girls beautiful and yet they have pretty unexpected characters for the role. When I first read the summary, I thought this wouldn't be that good but seems like I was wrong.
The art is really good. I love it. This was actually one of my favorite manga.
The characters are amazing. Kiri (the female lead) is unlike any other shoujo heroines. She's a hairstylist who just act cool and doesn't cry easily.A really admirable character. I love her stoic expressions and how she just doesn't seem to care. On the other hand, Narumi (the male lead) is an equally enjoyable character himself. He seems like a kid and likes to show off. He thinks of Kiri as a rival and I just can't help think that their perfect for each other.
The romance was a bit slow but at least no one fell in love after the first chapter or the girl fell in love because the main guy was always protecting her and blah blah blah... I really liked the sort of romance applied here since I was getting tired of good girl makes bad boy good.
