... so why does this manga exist? The sports matches aren't particularly interesting, the characters are somewhat lackluster, the art style is rather dull, etc.
Basically, the manga is average at best, and that's just not good enough. It would have had to excel in at least one area, either slice of life stuff or the battles itself - but it reaches neither Slam Dunk in its action, nor any of the gazillion Adachi manga in their slice of life scenes.

really, for me it has unexpected ending.
I like this manga very much, Akane just awesome stupid! LOL
I thought it would end up happy ending by their team winning national competition or what,
but it just turn that.... aww...
for me it has both sad and happy ending.
recommended ^^!

love it. The series has different elements that come together to make an interesting story. The characters are well developed each having their own problems in life, in the end, makes them closer as friends and competitors/rivals (?) you'll get the idea. Plus it has really nice art and the plot makes you want to continue reading till the very end. 10/10
I'll (titled I'll Generation Basket in its French release) is a sports shonen manga by artist Hiroyuki Asada. Its main plot concerns the life of a team of high school basketball players. It is focused on action scenes which depict the matches played by the team, but also puts emphasis on the interaction of characters outside of the courts. The art style is very clean and effective, showing movement as well as emotions well.
I really like this manga. The characters are very easy to like, and the budding relationship between the two main characters (atm) is quite interesting. In the beginning, the drawing style didn't really suit my taste but as I read more and more, the art got much better. Hopefully, "I'll [Generation Basket(ball)]" will be completed (scanlated, that is... since, like most of us, I'm illiterate in Japanese/Chinese.
Btw, thanks for your hard work, MangaScreener.
