Too much shota, too little substance

2nd chapter of the 2nd volume and I must say I'm pretty disappointed with the art. I understand the whole theme of shota and stuff, but the for god's sake that kid is almost 15, they were already talking about senior high and he still looks like he's 10 or worst 8, the least that could've been done was to portray him properly...it looks so much like pervy fanservice.... *-*

As always sensei's art is beautiful. The adults are handsome and the children are super cute. But on this manga there's some extremely crappy parenting. The dad is just a plain moron, this super weak character is a big disappointment.

If I saw my 12-14 year old son getting licked or making out with an older teenager I would definitely beat the crap out of the pervert. Child abuse anyone? Kids that age should be playing with Lego and Tonka Trucks, not thinking about buying condoms. Ugh...I shall shoot the dad, he's just such a loser, not only as a father but on all other aspects, it's just exasperating throughout the manga -_-

Don't know what rating to give this one since this character just pisses me off geh!
I guess I will go by the art.

not as scary as I feared

I really dislike shota, but this wasn't bad. The shota content was all pretty PG and mostly a running joke rather than a main focus of the story. Much of the time they are being eyebrowed and called perverts. The main couple is pretty in line with the rest of Yamato Nase's other non-shota works and they are the only ones with any kind of sex scenes
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
in fact they specify at the end of volume 2 that the younger couple never had sex at all, not that it makes it much less creepy.
This isn't my favorite manga from her, but it wasn't terrible. It was mildly amusing and an ok way to kill some time if you're in the mood for something light which won't make you emotional.

Oh dear, it's had some bad reviews. Well I disagree. I think it was a refreshingly unique manga with loveable characters and a lot of comedy smile
I did think the shota side of it was a little unsettling but it had no graphic or questionable content so it was easy to overlook.
The art was nice and the length of the manga was just about right - not too rushed not too elongated.
I wanted to see what Haruhiko's reaction would be to Kyotarou's relationship with the dad but I couldn't work out whether he knew or didn't. The bit about the aunt and grandmother trying to take Nao I thought was disgraceful and very annoying but it all worked out in the end.
Perhaps also it was lacking in heart-fluttering scenes of romance but it's a comedy so you have to accept this.
Overall it was a good read, I would recommend ^^

I find Yamato Nase's works quite entertaining overall, (art is nice and clean, and goes with the comic theme of her mangas) But this one... creepped me out a little... I mean, most of my manga is yaoi and to read yaoi you gotta be open-minded, but shota just goes beyond my limits, I felt uncomfortable. Nao is drawn like he's even younger than he is supposed to be!

And well, Nao's father is just dumb, dumb and pathetic.

I'll give it a two, because I like Yamato Nase's art (though this one is quite old, recent ones are way better..) and for one or two jokes there.

Well...it was very hilarious. I'm being very open minded - I mean, I'm okay with BL...but the age difference (between Nao and Oka's friend; Oka and Nao's father) is something that I have to get used to. But ages aside, I think it was a very well plotted manga since it actually touches the problem(s) of the four protagonists and how they deal (or think how they should deal) with it.

WOW can you say there are some dumb people in this manga!!! The father and son combo are both so oblivious that I just want to smack them!! What kind of father would let their 12 yr old son date a 17 yr old boyconfused I mean, yes it did have its good points with some good jokes but it just pissed me off overall....

I don't think it's totally gross. Nao-kun is pretty little but it's just the style of the mangaka. 12 years old is the same age of Ritsuka (Loveless) that do a pair with Soubi(20 years old). The diference is bigger than Nao and Misaki. And they aren't the principal couple after all...
(sorry about my bad english)

It's sickening. The relationship between the 17 year old and the elementary kid. I couldn't continue. It's sooo sickening. Looks like child molestation to me. I'm okay with some shotacon but this is a little too much. That kid is too little.

The ending was dissapointing.. The character development wasn't there.. It just made its story around a certain theme, Nao's father being an idiot when it came to considering other people's feelings (particularly when it came to Nao and Haruhiko) and Haruhiko putting his nose into business that he isn't part of (introducing Nao to his grandparents and bitching how he can't help Nao's dad anymore since he is so tired of it all). *Sighs*
