Heisuke is a young man who was left in charge of taking care of his little cousin Aki for a day. Being an only child who usually stays at home alone, Aki is quiet, reserved, and will go out of his way not to make trouble for others. As they spend more time together, Aki begins to grow very attached to Heisuke, especially since Heisuke's hobby is to make sweets and desserts. The quiet Aki eventually opens up to Heisuke, and Heisuke in return teaches Aki that sometimes it's all right to be selfish and say what you really want to do.

There's no single chapter left without getting my eyes wet LOL I especially LOVE Aki. H'es so adorable. I'd love to have one like him LOL.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
And when he's drawn shock because of his father changed the channel and knowing Suzuki caught the cold because he took the blanket, soo cute. I'm dead. LOL
I'd love to read more of this series. I'd love to see how Aki grows up ^^

So far, so good...
... or shall I say; so far, so adorable? Let me make this straight. I hate kids. I really do. Especially those annoyingly noisy spoiled ones. Thank goodness Aki is not even close to being one. I just love slow pace, slice of life stories like Flat, therefore I enjoy reading it.
And oh, besides Aki, Rin (from Usagi Drop) is also one adorable kid. But that's another story.
It's such a gentle and beautiful story. Heart-warming too. The way people treat each other in this manga is nice and surely make you smile. I like the girl in the 5th chapter. She's a little strange but deep and nice at the same time.
sweet and adorable
How cute. I really loved it. Yay, little kids~ I'm definitely curious to see where this series goes with future chapters... it seems pretty open to anything at this point. The characterization is nice, and I'd like to see the characters continue to grow and get along.
Makes me go all "kya kyaaa, so cuteXD" inside. Aki-kun is such a cute kid.
Their relationship so far is really nice... Really cute story. Heisuke's mother is a laugh, and his more serious friends. (I don't think I can say more without spoiliing...) The art is nice. A good first chapter, I'll be looking forward for more.
