I loved the art, the feelings and the emotions of despair.
Although there was REALLY a lot of typical korean "cliches", and the misunderstandings made me want to tear a pillow open. Poor pillow :,( but it's a good kind of rage, haha.

I loved this manga, and I'm too tired to write how amazing it was.
oh and plus, the feelings were really well expressed. Just saying.
But how many people have to fall in love with her?

I loved the ending, made me smile (:

So I have to say, this is one of my first times reading psychological manga and it doesn't suit all. I mean this is like a never ending soap opera, it's got all the elements,
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
memory loss, I raped you, oh wait no I didn't, gender change, new woman, mafia, mistress, how dare you
. I mean it's a good manga it definitely keeps you interested, and a good portion of the time, on your toes but it's beginning to get predictable and overly extensive in the drama. But I can tell you one thing, one of the categories says "cinderella story" for all you realist out there this is like the manga to shock people out of there cinderella-happily-ever-after syndrome. This is not even realist this is like straight up pessimist. And what is with this guy's domination complex, I know some things, in order for them to fall into place, she has to listen to him and I know people say it's not really a free country but damn, it's a free country, does she have to listen to everything he says, it's like she's got no spine which I was under the impression she did have. All in all I think this was just a very high dosage of reality for me, especially when I'm like the shoujo, moe, type. The only reason my rating is as high as it is, is because

I liked the way it ended

I completed this series in a span of 3 days and that's pretty impressive for me considering it's an 11 volume series and I'm a college student. This should tell you that the series will definitely drag you in for the story. I didn't know what to expect while reading this but before I knew it, I was too into the story to bring myself out.

The art in this series is so so pretty. The detailing of the eyes and lips is on point and it's definitely refreshing to have such great art in a storyline. I also found the fashion choices displayed in the story to be perfect and it made me wish I was a designer!

The story line did have me tangled in it's web. There is happiness, rape, torture, suicide, abandonment, love, violence, amnesia, murder, etc in this story. I really feel the author has touched about every line of betrayal in this story... however in a way it could be too much. I only gave this an 8 because I felt the story line had so much drama back to back. It would have been nice to have a breather between being thrown into another loop in. Should the author would have written the story with some constant mild flow, I would have definitely given this a 10 sad

Hold on for the ride because this story will throw you every direction smile

For those you girls wondering, YES they DO have sex, and though the scenes were not explicit I found them to be a big turn on. The beginning started off slow, and Jarte in the first few volumes looked to me like a typical cold and pretty face rich boy. However, his expressions progressively become more sensitive/well drawn and his features eventually begin to resemble those of a handsome and sensitive white boy - those of us girls who prefer caucasian boys to asians will LOVE this manga wink
at times, the story plot got a little newb and the character moods shifted quickly - but I found this to a an epic love story. It is indeed shamelessly cliche, trying to draw in jealous lover, prince and princess, and all the story-book elements of shoujo into one manga. At the same time, I thought this made the manga simply one of the most romantic/wishful-thinking love stories I've read so far. I fell in love with this boy after getting a few volumes in - and I'd consider myself usually someone VERY hard to please.

the first thing I remember though after 10hrs was..what the hell..when they finally had sex I was thinking yes! but all I saw the next few pages were FLOWERS. Anyway by the time we got to volume 9 it was pure comedy I tell you!!! the spanking incident was gem!!

But to be truly honnest, despite the great plot that it was..the way it progressed was such a drag. It was a bit frustrating cause disaster kept piling up on top of the other. Sometimes, the key into keeping a reader interested especially when it's this long is so spunk it up. I mean, loose it up a bit and give us happy moments that over shadow the sad ones. Sure, it's cute when they argue whenever they're together day J's some cold-hearted bastard and the next he's not. Not that, it's not an appealing character..cold aloof but sweet and tender blabla but the sudden switches were a bit off. With every page I turned, I'd start to read it faster cause I wanna get to the bottom of everything. I had wanted to "savour" the manga and enjoy every chapter.. but the way the plot progressed it was impossible.

Also, the more possessive J became the more I felt like it was purely obsession. If you've read Kare Kano, I think you'd kind of understand where I'm getting at. Not trusting, entirely controling the person you "claim" to love..and to add up it wasn't "the" J anymore at that time. THOUGH, I'm really glad that at the end Jay did that whole "trust" test. But why did it have to be in the very end? I was dying to just seperate them and let them have another years apart!

The most frustrating thing was how it ended just like that!! SURE, it was a happy ending. But come on, give us something more to rejoice with! That was long endurance there and it just ends with "I love you" "I love you too" BLAAHH. And sure the extra was nice, fluffy and made me all jiggery..but what's the point of mentioning babies when they dont show one in the end?? :/ Over all, I was just unsatisfied with how it ended. I wanted a glance of their family life..everything! Maybe the author got tired and just wanted to hurry up and end it but you gotta make sure to satisfy your fans!

Regardless of all my complaints, I still can't bring myself to hate this since it made me cry A LOT. And stories that move me are always worth under the "like" category. Even though I had wishes of changes from here and there, I'm still glad they lived "happy ever after". Still not the BEST for me though so I'm giving it an 8.

This is manga is simply GREAT! i loved it. The art is simply beautiful and detailed. The Plot is very dramatic ( then again this is a drama) and the romance within this is WOW! Some moments may get on your nerves but other moments just make your heart melt!!! eg J does get crazy ( over love) but the moments after just pay off! Nice Ending! i loved it when J (man) and Jay ( Girl) reunite and he just loses control and passionalty expresses his love! Has some comedy when portraying men as animals and so on. Highly recommened manga to read! One of the Best manhwa out there ( and im not fond of manhwas but this is a must read!)

... and shamelessly manipulative, throwing every single contrived plot-twist into the mix; attempted rape, parasuicide, attempted murder, obsessive love, amnesia, assassins, mafiosa, family tragedy, child abuse, half-siblings etc etc. The number of times a main character fell to the floor crying surely exceeded the number of times the heroine was stupid enough to be kidnapped.

The main leads shared a toxic relationship it was a wonder they didn't drown in a vat of tears, mascara and screaming. Really.

Having said that, the art is stunning, the men are stunning and the whole thing a beautifully overcooked tv soap opera that had me hooked. Just don't take it too seriously in terms of reality, plot and human endurance.

And by the way, anyone who thought they had been raped would've had a medical exam so - er - that little misunderstanding would have been cleared up early, although I do admit the emotional backlash would've been just the same.

Kudos to the mangaka who convinced me to swallow this overblown dessert against my intelligence. It was sweet, calorific and satisfying.

Oh yeah, did I say the men were hot? wink

This story is basically about a run-of-mill cute and perky heroine who gets screwed over by life again and again with the prince... sort of like happy tree friends in a way.

Huge edit. Once I got past some of the over-the-top antics of the villains, I realised that the author has concocted an intense story that blends both realism and cinderella fantasy. And kudos to the author for providing a window into each main character's mind, and making clear why the characters act the way that they do (even if the act itself is very unpleasant). Through doing this, the author has made each and every character (yes, even the villains) sympathetic to me as the reader.

In the end, I think that the author has made clear that there is no 'good' and 'bad' character in this story. Both the so-called villains and the good guys appear to be cut out of the same moral fabric and all are capable of making their fair share of poor decisions. There are many grey areas in human nature, and each person must deal with the consequences of their own actions. I think this is why the manhwa resonates with me so much.

For the above reasons, this manhwa is on my keeper shelf. I highly recommend it. Don't be put off by the soap-opera feel of some of the scenes (even I was at first). Give it a chance at least.

First off..this read isn't exactly for the light hearted....

Characters - (5/10) pretty ok...I don't find anything amazing about them and there weren't many developments throughout the series. It's one of those mangas..where you can only imagine how the characters are like together. If you think of them as seperate people...there's just not much to say about them :\
Spoiler (highlight to view)
the only thing is..all the characters are either annoying or psycho at some point. Some people might like this for the soap opera feel but I prefer light characters....

Plot - (6/10) lots of drama....very slowly becomes all of the worst soap operas mashed into one.'s kind of ok because the two people love each other. The one thing I liked is that the manga shows the darker sides of shows love reflected in every light..not just the cutesy teenager love. That, yes, there are hardships in life after high school.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
except it was a littttttle overkill with all the attempt-rapes and jay attracting all the hot psychos of the european she got kidnapped 10 too many times. And they focus on sex a lot..oh well..what can you expect from josei lol...but seriously, half the series is about her virginity -_-

art - (7/10) pretty decent biggrin The guys are really good looking..and the expressions are spot on...especially when the people get violent. The style was pretty awesome, and
Spoiler (highlight to view)
the wedding outfits were sooo gorgeous....
The art will probably do well with most people, it's just not my style.

Overall enjoyment - (7.5/10) mehhh I probably gave it way more because of the right-off-the-bat romance. Their romantic relationship from the first few chapters got me really reading it...if the guy just dragged her around for the entire series I would have never gotten so far. But it was very cute and romantic smile just...the rest of the story was too much for me.
