Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles
Rating: 10.0 / 10.0

This manga is very special in that it incorporates both "shoujo" and "shounen" qualities. There is the romantic aspect of the manga involving Sakura and Syaoran, but fighting quickly becomes an important aspect of the series. In this manga there is really something for everyone to like. There is an intricate storyline, some romantic aspects, and lots of fighting (and the amazing drawings don't hurt either =D). All in all, it's really a very well made manga. Well done, Clamp!

Amazing TRC

This is what started it all... my love of anime and manga. I knew about a couple really popular ones with kids, like Pokemon or Sailor Moon, but they never intrigued me. I decided to browse the anime book section, which I quickly found out that it's called manga (just like a sad little n00b!) and read some synopses of random ones I took from the shelf. TRC happened to be one of them, and I was hooked from the start. The art is gorgeous, and I immediately fell in love with Syaoran's determination and perserverence for the girl he loves.

In response to a comment about it being "mediocre fantasy" and the question:
"would you have noticed this series badly if it weren't by Clamp?", I must say that when I found this manga, I did not even know what Clamp was!!! (I should really say who :D )

TRC got me into manga/anime and introduced me to other Clamp works like xxxholic (totally awesome), CardCaptor Sakura (so cute!), and Chobits (Chii!). I have introduced these animes along with others I have found (usually of the same or similar genre) to all of my friends, and not one of them didn't think they were great. Even my Mom got into Tsubasa Chronicle and Chobits!

OK I think I have gotten MY point and opinion across... :)

The draws/art are lovely

Mediocre and slow

It sucks, completely. If it weren't Clamp branded, it would pass as a mediocre fantasy. Considering that you can use the same charas with the weak excuse of parallel worlds only if you are Clamp (a team with lots of great manga in its history). Not that bad, but it lacks all the great things Clamp used to give us readers, starting with drawings of Mokona's fame. The new art is ver unbalanced. Think carefully: would you have noticed this series badly if it weren't by Clamp?

TRC is one of the greatest manga I've ever read. The characters are awsm, the artwork amazing and the plot is full of surprises, although it moves pretty slow. :P But, definitely, it's worth reading. :D It's a great thing that CLAMP uses characters from other mangas and the fact that TRC moves in parallel with XXXHolic, makes it even more enjoyable. ;)
