I want an action manga where there are battles that happen in the sky. This could mean that they have wings or they are just mysteriously able to fly. Some manga with air fights are Bleach, Dragonball Z, and Air Gear kinda. Plz no mecha or anything along those lines.

Try Mai-HiME and Mai-Otome. (I know it happens in the Mai-HiME anime, but I don't remember if it's also in the manga, which is significantly different from the anime.)

Um, there should be some in DNAngel and Escaflowne. I've seen the animes, but not read the mangas yet.

There are occasionally air battles in Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle and CardCaptor Sakura.
