Yes, I love Kunieda Saika's works (Bannin was ftw), and I think her best so far were Mirai no Kioku and Kaze no Yukue.

Hmm, as for suggestions, Under Grand Hotel was pretty un-cliche, though the art puts some people off. And then there's Konno Keiko's works, even though the romance sometimes develops a bit too fast for my liking... 🤢

I was 🤢 after reading a bit of Wild Rock too. Hard to believe it was drawn by the same author of Last Client. And I agree Totally Captivated's art hurts my eyes.

I would suggest the following:
KUJOU Aoi
YAMAGATA Satomi (art is probably not very pleasing)
YOSHINAGA Fumi
NISHIDA Higashi
MIZUSHIRO Setona

I am too lazy to suggest specific titles. But I am sure your best bet is to read those authors' works.

And NAKAMURA Asumiko would be a good try too. But her art is too weird.

After a Storm - just try it. 🙂
Te wo Tsunaide, Sora wo is good, but perhaps a bit smutty.

I don't know many with touching romance as I am not a fan of romance myself. But those authors do write good DRAMA. I like drama - that's why I remember them. Hope they can help. I think many other shounen-ai fans can suggest good and touching romance to you.

QTF..the mangaka is a genius..(I love the fact that the Mangaka is AWARE that men arent sexually attracted to other men by nature...it takes time for them to actually LIKED MEN.)..I've also read Complex, it's one of the good yaois around.

..and oh, Uke sucks...i cant stand the....idiocy....and cliches in EVERY random Yaoi that I leeched.. 🤢

And Hermit-chan, I can't agree that men aren't sexually attracted to other men by nature. Some have argued that one's basically born with their sexual orientation (or the potential to have a certain one). Of course social factors also play a role as well as genetic factors to shape one's sexuality.

I tend not to read many "originally straight men turning gay" type of stories. Many of them are bad in my eyes. 🤢
