Moyoco Anno was born in Tokyo on March 26th. When she graduated from high school, she debuted in Kodansha's "Bessatsu Friend Juliet." After taking a break with the drama "Happy Mania," she continues to produce one hit after another. Her husband is the anime and movie director, Hideaki Anno (creator of Neon Genesis Evangelion). In May of 2005, her manga "Sugar Sugar Rune" won Kodansha's Manga Award. [Shodensha]

She was on hiatus from 2008-2011.
