Hello all,

I've been working on some behind the scenes framework updates, and am looking for some people who might be interested in helping.

Requirements are:

1. Knowledge of PHP with several previous OOP examples
2. Knowledge of Design patterns such as Singleton, Strategy, Factory, Abstraction Layers, and others
3. Previous website coding experience, understanding of GET/POST/cookies, the concept of user sessions
4. Knowledge of MySQL, strong knowledge of SQL Injection and exploitation techniques.
5. Willing to follow our coding standards (essentially, we require that all conditional logic have curly brackets, and that they occupy their own line)
6. ... A lot of free time

This is a volunteer position. You will have a chance to contribute to a project which sees a large audience. We're open to new design ideas as you see them as well.

This poll was suggested by our member Perim. The poll itself has simple choices, yet is a little hard to explain. Basically, does manga/anime affect real world decisions that you make? Perhaps you act a certain way now just because you read Naruto (think of all the little kids running around like ninjas...) Or perhaps you listen to classical music more because of Nodame Cantabile. Or any number of possible influences...

I just found out that today is the 7th anniversary of the group Manga Art (thanks Lenners)! Yes, they've been around for a long time...longer than a lot of you have been reading manga, probably. Not all old groups die out, you know!
