Warning - Wrong Series Information
We've recently had reports of users maliciously adding incorrect series data. If series information looks constantly incorrect (even after you change it yourself), then please either post in this thread, PM me (lambchopsil) personally, or file a Change Request via the User CP.

Examples of malicious information are:
Wrong and in appropriate series images
Taking off all non-English names off a series (like the original Japanese one)
Releases suddenly get deleted
Wrong categories
Gibberish in the series description

We will investigate all claims and take appropriate action against such users. Remember, all information on this site has been user-generated, so thank you for providing all the help you can!

I once added a series (a Zero no Tsukaima apin-off/prequel) and in less than one week someone deleted it.

did it have a release? i think some of those were deleted a while back to save space.

Not yet, but it seems it's only a matter of time, since Baka-Tsuki has it as a (not officially confirmed) to-do project. But what is truly strange is that the other novel spin-off, with two releases and a (stalled fo now) possible third is not on the DB.

Ah, if it's a novel, it can not be approved when not translated into English by a group or publisher.

However, if it's a manga/manhwa/manhua and not a oneshot, it will not be deleted... even if it has no translation.

been awhile since I paid close enough attention to a lot of the series but I used to find stuff like Bleach and Naruto tagged as hentai or worse quite often and would fix em. If people think the obvious ones like those would make it, then I gotta wonder about the non-obvious series. How big/often of a problem has this gotten to now?

55742 series
11530 authors
2772 scanlators
322 publishers

106805 releases

oh sorry, I meant how many jerks appear to be intentionally entering wrong info, like a few dozen or more?

Naw, the mistake was on my side... I think I just read it to fast.

As for what you asked.... I think it's only been two people... but it was on multiple series.
That's all I know about it.

The admins have a log of all the edits of any given page, so it's usually a matter of diligent banning malicious users, which albeit annoying but kinda like mansion cleaning that needs to be done daily assumings there are enough maids/butlers (mods) to do them everyday.

seriously, why bother to do those kind of things. does knowing things by yourself really had any profit at all?
