New Poll - RPG Class
This poll from hirukayuki01 focuses on the primary class you would choose if you were in an RPG. I purposely chose specific classes and didn't include the hybrids like paladins, monks, bards, etc. Just choose from that small list. And I stuck with the more fantasy-type classes, so no engineers. And I guess archer could fold into thief, but I wanted that distinction between melee and range...

I tend to choose ranged-DPS type, so it's between archer or mage, but the final choice depend on the game system.
The second choice is assassin, or anything with high attack and speed.

Warrior. What can I say? I prefer being in the thick of battle and warriors tend to get more action. Plus I love swords and axes.

Archer, cause I love bows! In most RPGs (that I've played at least) the archers tend to get some magic effects on their arrows, bullets, etc so its magical archery!

Can the warrior use magic (example: a magic sword with some magical swing, or can they use an energy wave) or is it rather a plain warrior?

Druid
so...cleric in other words
my hatred to the modern capitalist world would fit well into what a druid is
and i would probably have problem with the capitalist way of thinking in any fantasy world too so

I hate being in pain so Cleric would be my first choice. Warrior would be a close second though since I love beating the crap out of monsters (or other players)

I always play priests, so that's what I'll pick.
I've experimented with all the other classes; thieves, mages, archers and warriors are all a lot of fun, but I've always felt the most comfortable when playing a priest.

Rogue!!! Duhh. How can you not love stabbing people in the back with crazy speed and be basically hidden off from the world? Twin daggers is my weapon of choice as well. Maybe a crossbow works too be it takes too long to load and thats not good for a rogue who depends on speed.
Aka speed>power. Speed also strengthens defense as well to get out of dangerous situations. Also agility and the ability to climb trees, stay hidden etc. is amazing.

Irl i use a bow from time to time (I'm learning to use it i mean), but nothing beats destroying my enemies with my bare hands for me. Let me see your eyes as i prove myself better and the life escapes out of them

Archer. 
I like using bows and attacking enemies before they even see me. I think playing with thieves too, but when I do, I end up using bows as well. I think the class I use is somewhere between an archer and a thief.

I love being a healer, but the want to just sneak up and stab someone in the back is always so strong....definitely a tough choice between the two.

I guess I would pick like this:
1st choice: mage
2nd choice: cleric
3rd choice: archer

I'd pick healer second I guess, because you still get magic abilities and being able to heal people would be nice (I like helping people)... not having any offensive magic would be a butt, though. And casting boring status-ups and stuff doesn't appeal to me, so I'd definitely pick mage over this.

As usual a Cleric warrior. Being cleric does not mean being a healer, but being unkillable and the strongest if only for a few seconds (exactly when you need it). The best defense and the for limited time strongest offense.

not sure is it in game or reality...

o If i enter the game, I like being assassin, speedy attack and sneaking around is just fun.

Right in the middle of the fray, damage and projectiles comng at you from all sides, enemies, allies even random mobs all mixed in one blob you might as well call a big target.
Charge in like a madman and escape even faster when you're low on health.

For classical RPG : Archer ftw ! (and bows only, crossbows or guns are for wimps xD)
For multiplayer RPG : Priest \o/ (or more like any support+healing class)

I've only played MMOs, never classic RPGs so....
1 Mage
2 Archer
I'm better with range than with direct attacks. Mage does both depending on the skills but i like what it has to offer.
3 Thief
4 Warrior
I can work with these two.
Last is Cleric
Because a Cleric is really dependent on others and I prefer not to.
That's my order of which class I'd pick. If I could cross over after a certain level, I'd go for Mage and Archer.

I try to rotate, but it depends on the gameplay, possibilities, and available class actions.
I usually prefer something along the lines of battle-mage though... Yay for overkill AoE spells, yet still being able to dally about on the frontlines ^.^ (poking critters with a stick).
Sadly, TeS (Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim) is one on the few cRPGs to have a decent archery system, or I would probably play that class more often.
