I still like them just the same. Who knows what my favorite manga was before Berserk as I have followed it for over a decade. Legend of Galactic Heroes has also been my favorite long-form anime for a similar amount of time. Both forms of media had already figured themselves out before I was born, so it´s not like with video games where the art form itself is still growing. The average 8/10+ game now is just better than similar offerings a decade ago and more importantly decades ago. That´s just not true for manga.

Pretty much the same, every now and then there will appear some masterpieces that will be remembered for years while there are many mediocre one mmm...

The thing is everything will become more creative so the weird one will become even weirder too mmm...

I still like them just the same or I like my old and new favorites about the same. Really the list of favorites grows longer the more years I read, but it grows slowly because not everything out there is good. There's a lot of mediocre stuff that's made both in the past as well as now. I don't tend to keep reading that stuff, especially nowadays as I don't have as much time. Manga I consider my favorites don't tend to be crap, imho or stuff I outgrew like it might be for some people. The tough part is finding Manga that is worth my time, so I drop a lot after a few chapters. But stuff I consistently find interesting or enjoy, I keep reading.

Still like them just the same. I only started reading manga properly once I was past 17, after all, so my tastes haven't changed significantly since then. Some of my old favourites I do think are a tad juvenile, now, but I still retain fond memories of my time reading (or watching, in the case of anime) them, so it's all good.

I didn't feel like there was an option in this poll that really reflected how I felt... I love my old favorites and I'm not ashamed of loving them, but I definitely feel like manga as a whole has gotten better since I started reading it a decade or so ago. I feel like the mangakas I've been reading for awhile have improved.

Basically, I think newer manga is in general better than older manga. I still love the manga I loved in the past.

I feel like this poll wasn't worded properly to note that it wasn't an "old favorite vs the new favorite" theme and that it was mainly talking about an "older release favorite vs newer release favorite."

But I guess the answer is the same since my favorites either stand out from most stories in their respective demographics or are still able to stand tall through their story quality, even if the art style doesn't.

I tried reading some of my old favorites and wondered what I liked about them. My tastes changed as I got older.

I guess if you started on good stuff you can still like them, because they stand the test of time. Most of my stuff was 'what was available' rather than by choice.
though I'd probably be bored stiff with shonen titles; doubt I'd be able to make it through 20 volumes of Rurouni Kenshin like before.
I think I've outgrown the charm of being teh awesome

Come back to me when the new and old series are translated

The newer series suck compared to my favorite, but all series suck compared to my favorite. That's why it's my favorite.

I can't tell if this is implying that if people find older series better, or if it's implying some are ashamed of what they liked previously. I answered I still like them just the same. I do like newer series and I also realized some of the older series I fell in love with aren't as great with age. However Full Metal Alchemist will still be the best.

I like my past and present favorites the same, but I do feel like it's getting harder and harder to find new series that seem interesting...

*Thinks about Freezing*

*scrunches up face in pain*

Idk why I was ever intrigued by that shit show of a series. Probs cos the art was pretty. I was simple like that back in the day. Pretty art and pretty girls? Hell yeah sign me the fuck up.

Now I just read yuri so it's still pretty girls hell yeah sign me the fuck up, just gay instead of that harem nonsense.

I will always love Ai Kora though. Always and forever. One of my earliest manga I ever read and I still love it to this very day.
But my tastes have vastly changed since then and I am all about the yuri now. Gay or gtfo.
