Village Idiot's Leader RIP

The leader of Village Idiot, no_comxxx, recently died in a biking accident. RIP.

More specifics can be found on their site's news post.

Edit: Apparently Village Idiot is not sure about his death. They are attempting to make a more definite confirmation at this time.

Honestly, you guys are disgusting... I can understand religion-bashing if there is a valid reason but there is nothing wrong with a guy expressing his condolences through his faith. Keep your hate to yourself, it doesn't make you look better than him in anyone's eyes. At least he had the decency to see the guy off instead of spamming hate like you two.

Listen the verse he recited is often recited in funerals. I know this cause I read the bible. And how can you insult a man for his faith. He meant well with what he said. And whats wrong with being a Jesus Freak, I'm proud to be one. R.I.P, no_comxxx.

Nothing wrong with being a person of faith.
However. Stuffing your beliefs into every nook and cranny is just plain rude.

For all you know, the guy that died might've been a serious atheist.
Let's say he's gone to heaven and sits on a cloud and is now raging his head off cause you punks are using his death to spout even more religious dogma?

yes i read one of Viscans released chapter some days ago and in one of the the credit pages there was a memoriam page about no_comxxx
at first, i thought he's just leaving the group, but when i read more
i thought "is he really dead? how sad if it is true"
and now i know that he's the leader of Viscans itself...
i give my greatest condolences for him mmm...

I've known no_ for about two years now...so this news is really sad...I even remember the last time I talked to him...so I was just in shock when I found out about his death. Condolences to his family and friends.

Condolences to you as well as his other friends and his family. He helped bring, to so many people, joy and all the other emotions that come with reading manga. That's all I know about him, but adding that much happiness to our often troubled world is one impressive lifetime achievement by itself.

I truly hope there's been some kind of mistake and he's still alive to make his corner of the world an even better place. Everyone, take care of yourself and those around you, please.

what is it with scanlators and biking accidents. If memory is right, a few years ago, another person from a scanlator group died while on his motorcycle too. RIP man. and a warning to you other scanlators; learn to drive a car.

well bikes in general are risky. i know someone who lost their leg in an accident with one. so it's hard to say it could happen. it's sad it happened, but it's good knowing how cool of a guy he is by how touched everyone is about his passing. i'm sure his friends and family must be relieved and happy about that. he can definitely rest easy with that in mind.

Just a quick update to say that VI Scans have redacted the statement about no_comxxx passing away. The only information is that they have simply struck through the post and have added 'redacted until further notice' at the bottom. Their latest posts make no mention of it.
I wouldn't want to speculate too much so I'm just passing this on.
