NinjaBuzz To Cease Naruto Anime and Manga Distribution
NinjaBuzz Staff writes: Due to a numerous spam attack and cyber stalking over the last year by a user whom simply identifies themselves as Stephan Fry, Ninjabuzz will stop distributing the Naruto Anime and Manga series by January 1st 2008, this will give the users in our community time to adjust with the cease and removal of all Naruto releases from NinjaBuzz, it will also allow our affiliates time to find new consistent sources for distribution purposes.

NinjaBuzz sincerely thanks all affiliates whom continued supporting our releases over the last couple years. NinjaBuzz whom were formerly NarutoBuzz successfully made over 100+ releases of the Naruto Manga and every episode of Naruto Shippuuden to date. We thank everyone that enjoyed our releases, and could care less what the leechers with shameless comments can and will say. We are now endorsing MangaShare as an alternative source for Naruto Manga and obviously Dattebayo will now be the only group doing the Anime consistently yet again. We would just like to state that this decision was not rushed.

The Cyber stalker/Hacker/Spammer has made numerous attempts to contact members of the NinjaBuzz team, he has hacked the server gaining remote access (1 week ago) and has continued a massive spam attack against us. Just so you know the government created internet watchdog groups would not give the time of day to deal with a matter such as ours and because of that and us honestly being tired of all the crap are effectively stopping the releases. Keep in mind we are not closing NinjaBuzz.com, it will still recieve news and updates and hopefully become a media outlet like Narutocentral, however that is all and if the attacks continue the website will be taken offline as well.

You can find more information regarding our closure at www.ninjabuzz.com

Why not hack Microsoft or CIA?
That should give some excitement.

to tell you the truth, i kinda wanna say good riddance. i feel like alot of people got cheated out of their donations. when the old narutobuzz site was still around, i believe they where asking for a large sum of money so they could build the narutobuzz.com that is today. they said that it would be a one time thing and that they wouldn't ask for donations anymore after that yet they still did......i also didnt agree with the way they would threaten to stop scanlation if they didnt receive an amount of donations. but whatever, what other people do with their monies is none of my concern.

wow, everyone here is so harsh. i mean i totally agree with the narutofan part, but why bash a scan group just because they are one in a very large group of groups whom sub a popular anime and manga(scan). im not very familiar with narutobuzz since i use dattebayo, but what ever they do, even if they did threaten to stop scans if their donation limit is not meet, people who donate had a choice of doing so or not. which goes for scans of the manga and subs for the anime as well. all im trying to express is that people should not be so harsh, publicly bashing a who has already endured abuse for some time (even if they were corrupt to some point) does not deserve such insult from people who download and read manga online. its exactly the same as people who complain about how slow a subbing group is at releases, the subbing group is usually doing the subbing out of their good will, as such; people who complain like that is to me trash.

thread

» MoonDoggie on December 6th, 2007, 2:05pm

my reason for bashing this group isn't because they are scanning an already much scanned manga. nor is it because people donate to them, i could care less if a person is ignorant enough to get suckered out of their money. but what i do care about is the person who has the audacity to try and do the suckering. that, to me, shows that the only "good will" the group is trying create is the "good will" of their pockets. sorry for being just trash to you, but that's how I see things.

thread

» ginenbijnoam on December 6th, 2007, 2:29pm

Most people have nothing against big fansubbing groups. It's just the groups doing popular shounen projects like naruto or bleach. Whenever a chapter is out, there will be at least 10 scanlated versions of it, of which only 1 will be actually worth downloading. Why does narutobuzz need to ask for donations in such a forcefull manner when other groups do it without asking for donations at all? Scanlating Naruto is a waste of manpower and they should do other projects. Then they could ask for donations if necessary and then there would be no reason to complain about speed or quality. (I'm not justifying the narutobuzz donation issue though)

thread

» Anima on December 6th, 2007, 4:42pm

because the quality of their work is shit. and they have the audacity to ask for donations which, they claim is for their website which is also looks like shit.

thread

» [RCxFace] on December 6th, 2007, 5:10pm

To Anima:
People ask for donations because they want help.
It's their right to do so, and if people "want" to help them, it's up to them.
and since you are on Baka-updates/Manga Updates... it is
very likely that you also download from Online.
So here, we hear this coming from a person like you..
It looks very good. =]
You're saying that they claim to use it for their website?
Do you have proof that they do use it for other places?
How much money do you even think they receive from donations?
It costs a lot of money to use their own server, so until
YOU actually made a scanlation group and fend for yourself don't
talk smack. ^_^

thread

» MoonDoggie on December 6th, 2007, 6:31pm

i'm not trying to bash or flame you in anyway, but until you've learned of narutobuzz's history, you really should refrain from asking for proof or telling others not to talk. it's as bad as someone telling a scanlation group to hurry up with releases when said person doesn't know the effort it takes to scan one chapter. wouldn't you agree?

thread

» Anima on December 6th, 2007, 7:08pm

at least with the amount of donation they're asking. at least turn out some QUALITY releases. not garbage. and fyi, i was once part of a scanlation group so you stfu.

thread

» [RCxFace] on December 6th, 2007, 7:27pm

I did ask for proof, but I never once stated a fact bout Narutobuzz.
I defended them on their case with accusations made by people without proof.
and i never ever did deny that they are "cheating" people of their money.
and i never once mentioned anything about their history.
and I said everyone was entitled to state
their opinion, but keep it too a minimum as in the the case with Anima,
because for some reason, you can not hold an intellectual conversation because
every sentence of yours always contain some sort of swear word.
Nice way to be convincing =]
and hahahaa, you were "part" of, not "responsible for.
and when you make YOUR "OWN" scanlation group; maybe you'll understand. ^_^ because from your tone, you don't seem to understand it at all.

thread

» MoonDoggie on December 6th, 2007, 8:52pm

the reason i said that the history should be known before asking for proof is because giving any evidence would mostly likely require some prior knowledge of the site's actions from before in order for the evidence to make sense. i said this with the post you made about not being familiar with narutobuzz in mind.

the best i could possible do about showing evidence is this: http://www.phppod.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-9070 .html

now ask yourself why would a site that states it makes $400+ in revenue be needing donations? if you don't find that fishy, then this conversion ends here.

thread

» [RCxFace] on December 6th, 2007, 9:16pm

Well that does seem fishy, but then again..
how much does it charge for the server/website hosting/domain renewals...
etc? Depending on the type of server you get, shouldnt it be around 350?
and because from what ive read, their "server" is very accessible and prone to
hackers so i say it's less than 350 but near there.
But then again.. idk they could be using a really cheap cheap cheap server
for like 5 bucks a month.
Who knows. *shrugs shoulders*
But thank you for informing me with that link =]

thread

» MoonDoggie on December 6th, 2007, 9:37pm

yea, sorry if i came off as a bit of a jerk. i'm really not out to prove anybody wrong, and i can see where you come from when you think its kinda harsh to bash an already dieing group because in all reality, it is. but i really detest groups like this that give other well to do groups like your's a bad name. gah, i hope i didnt sound like to much of a dick in my post. i hate people that flame and i dont wanna be a hypocrite -_-. but what good is an opinion if one doesn't stand by it eh? anyway, hey goodluck with your scanlation projects and dont let those leechers get to you.

thread

No, jerks are those ones that are completely "close-minded" people like Anima.
Where every sentences contains some sort of curse word because they
are unable to accept a different opinion, and refuse to even hear it.
Lmfao, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and see, we all handled it well.
You're not being a dick either because you can see that you carried
out your arguments well. You should be a lawyer. ^_^
Lols. as for me.. i should go back and practice driving so i can get my license before junior year. XD.
lols, and thank you. Hope all goes well for you too, in anything. ^_^

thread

» [RCxFace] on December 6th, 2007, 4:44pm

Okies, well although I've never heard of "Narutobuzz" before, and since
i rather just buy my copy of Naruto from my bookstore i don't actually download
Naruto chapters online.
To the subject of "bashing" i totally agree with zinny.
Because I am responsible for my own scanlation group, i know what it feels
to hear "complaints" from stupid people who don't help, and don't donate, but
feel like they have the right to say that a particular scan group is so slow, and
say all these bad things bout them when some scan groups don't threaten
for donations, and don't even request for donations and ARE DOING IT FOR FREE.
Now i also agree with Moonie.. I don't feel that a scanlation group should
"threaten" for people to donate or they will no longer release and the funny thing
is "ginenbijnoam" is also correct. Most shounen releases come in 10 diff
versions... which is ridiculously a waste of time.
What everyone says is true to some degree, but seriously
what people do with their money is up to them.
Narutobuzz never "forced" anyone to do anything, but we can say
they were persistent on insisting for donators.

Furthermore, what Moonie is doing is enforcing his/her right of free speech.
Maybe, he/she could tone it down because after all, we are scanlating FOR FREE, and we don't get PAID.
Even with donations, you barely get that much money anyways.

thread

» XtremerZ on December 6th, 2007, 5:44pm

They're entitled to complain if they want. There are two approaches to it, either you ignore them and continue what you're doing, or you lash out against them.
Even as a hobby, it's a hobby with an audience, and simply, if they do not feel the effort you put in or the results you produce are up to par then it's not unfounded criticism. Unless the whole purpose of your work is to provide speed-scans or a quick translation to satisfy people until a longer-taking higher quality version is released, there's no rush. But you have to be reasonable with how long you do take.
Scanlating should be a choice, not for recognition or superstardom. And paid or not the key is to spread the ideas and works of another person through a different language- if you are inept you shouldn't get a free pass at butchering it just because it's gratis. Strive for excellence, and take pride in the results you achieve, but if you ever find it becoming more work than play, then stop. Unless you're dedicated to bringing it to the community and won't trust anyone else to finish it, feel free to vanish. You aren't obligated to complete it to the end, and you don't owe it to anyone. When you begin to complain more about ungrateful leechers than being excited over whatever plot advancements in the latest chapter you've released, I believe that's a pretty good sign of having to take a break.

But then again, only a few scanlators seem to truly enjoy what they're doing anyway, and those who don't aren't really impeded by their feelings.

thread

» MoonDoggie on December 6th, 2007, 5:59pm

sorry, but i fail to realize how what I say about narutobuzz has any correlation with your scanlation group. my beef isn't with your scanlation group or what people do with their money, as i have said before. It's the fact that a group has nerve to try and cheat people out of that money.

thread

» [RCxFace] on December 6th, 2007, 6:38pm

If you did read my post, I said because i am responsible for my own scanlation group, i "know what it feels like." I know what you said had no correlation with
my scanlation group, and the point i was bringing up was I understood and do not appreciate the fact that others were dissing scanlation groups for that.
Do you have proof that they try to "cheat" people out of their money?
and I'm sure, even if, they did do so, that they are not the only ones to do so.
People are entitled to their money; it's those true fans of theirs that
would actually "donate" money.
Plus, it's not like the majority of the leechers would want to donate anyways.
Why do you check their list of donators, and how much money was given
to them for however many years they were in service.
If you look at many other scanlation groups, many of them PRESS for donations,
or if not their site will go down.
Narutobuzz is not the only scanlation group that does that.
So how bout you go to all those other groups and tell them that
because theyre "trying to cheat people out of their money" they should go
to hell, rot and burn. =]]]

lol, someone seems very indecisive and rather invasive of taking a side ; ). though id like to clarify wat i was saying earlier since i didnt really proofread wat i wrote. especially to moondoggle, wat i ment about people who r trash was purely directed to the kind of ppl who complain as in my example, not u, unless of course u complain to groups about their slow releases too. basically wat i was trying to say in a nut shell is to respect the scan group to at least some degree, as everyone deserves at least a little bit of dignity especially since they r disbanding their group. yes u r certainly entitled to ur opinion and yes this is only my opinion, though i guess wat some other people have said struck a nerve as it was extremely derogative and very insensitive.
as well reguarding wat RC said to anima: rofl, lmao, lol, total ownage xD

thread

» MoonDoggie on December 6th, 2007, 6:11pm

you wrote in your post that people bashing groups is "exactly the same" as people who nag at groups for being so slow, and that's how i interpreted that i'm trash in your eyes, because I am bashing narutobuzz/ninjabuzz to an extant. But not for the reason of scanlation speed. i really cant stand those types that think they are allowed to have a say in how fast something should be. i've said my reason numerous times already as to why i bash.

thread

» [RCxFace] on December 6th, 2007, 6:47pm

Yes, it might have sounded like i was being very indecisive, but
like i said, i agreed with you totally, and everyone to some degree.
and yes, i believe that we should give some respect to a group that's closing.
For those that are happy to see them gone, you can be
assured that they are no long "cheating" people out of their money.
And for people like me, when a scanlation group quits, it means
they are facing problems.. major problems that they can't shake off.
and i know the feeling.

Ok a few things: at rxface person:
1. Just because a person is angry and uses a violent tone does not mean the person is wrong and/or not making sense. Take Therossman.com for instance.. his articles are filled with language and emotion.. some pieces more than others .. yet he makes more sense than most people i've read on the intarwebz.
2. aren't you the admin at evil empire? nuff said
3. Yes good riddance we can say whatever the hell we want about whoever we want. wtf this is the internet ._.'' if you don't like someone tell them. If you think someone is a scamp tell them. If you think that a group is a bunch of lazy retards that are only capable of releasing shit that is only suitable for blinding people.. TELL THEM! tell the world. let your hatred be known. Don't pent it up and then explode one day. This world is made of suck and fail and if you just let everything slide you'll fall into that suck and fail yourself.
4. I run a scanlation group and the only substantial cost is RAWS cause we buy our raws and scan them. This group does not! and as for the claims about their website... BULLOCKS!! have you seen it? the forums don't even work. It looks like it was made in paint! and it's using WORDPRESS!! a free software. FREE!!! geez >_>;; neways anima i'm with you all the way . And i'd go further to say that all the groups could die for all i care. Just leave manga share and shannaro/japflap. mangashare for the lq/mq and shannaro or japflap for the hq though i'd favour japflap. The rest of them should expand their brains which seemingly have been replaced with kunais and possibly go venture into other , better mangas.
that is all.

1) I am not the admin of the Evil Empire.
2) I stated idk how many times that everyone is entitled to their own opinion...

What i said was he can't hold an intellectual converstation and hence unable to convince those around him.

Not really a wonder..it's a damn fact. lol
I must say that it's to be expected when it comes to this series, it's
so well damn advertised all over the word, that alot of people treat Naruto
as their own god or something, bowing down when they come across new
volumes in their bookstore... ROFL
Personally I don't have anything against Naruto, even thoguh I think it's
overrated and boring I don't really hate it either, besides there are alot of
worse manga out there.

Moreover if there was an advertisement, saying that buying woolen pants
and puting them on your head will increase your inteliggence, played on
tv all year long, I dare to say that over this year we'll see an increase in
sale of woolen pants by the people brainwashed by the media...lol

So yeah lets bow to the NinjaBuzz and wish they move to some other manga
and spend their lives happily. Btw. Naruto will become the greatest ninja in
