Plot/Story

The story of Suzuka is a typical romance story with a few twist that attempt tot set itself away from the typical romance manga, but at its core it is still a romance story. I have no problems with the story, but the relationships are ridiculous. The author tries to create drama by using the age old cliche of I love you one minute and the next its I Love someone else. Seriously though the relationships are all over the place and its pointless because we all know how its going to end up.
Half way through the story the when its obvious we can see the finish line the author suddenly pulls a huge turn for the sole purpose of making the story longer. (Take Kimi no Iru Machi for instance. the Tokyo arc is a perfect example. Kouji Seo loves doing this)
Ironically its because the Author creates all this useless drama that makes Suzuka so interesting to read and its even more fulfilling when the main characters finally end up together.

Characters

The characters are also full of cliches, but it works exceptionally considering the story. Suzuka is our average tsundere and Yamato is for once not a typical harem lead (yes i consider Suzuka a Harem), Yamato is not a loser and he isn't afraid to speak his mind (for the most part). The cast of characters perfectly fit the story and theres not a single person who feels out of place.

Drawing Style

Ok il be perfectly honest, I LOVE Kouji Seo artwork. His art is without a doubt the prettiest and makes everyone look absolutely gorgeous. His art should be the staple of all manga artist. Sure i admit there are alot of Manga artist out there who draw much more in detail. Take Wolf Guy - Ookami no Monshou for example it is absolutely breathtaking, but it's drawn in a more realistic manner and Suzuka is drawn in a more anime'ish style which make all the characthers look cute a beautiful. The artwork is without a doubt Suzuka's highlight.

Enjoyment

Suzuka the most enjoyable manga i have ever read. Its romance story with great chracters and artwork that will blow your mind. It doesn't matter if your a fan of romance or not anyone who reads manga's must give this a try.

Overall

Suzuka is my faviorite manga of all time as it should come as not surprise. Sure it has its share of cliches and it is fairly predictable, but is a great manga that was crafted with care. Anyone who is even remotely interested in manga should read this,

I give Suzuka 9.8/10.

I love Suzuka as well. It is one of my all time favorite mangas, since it was one of my first mangas that 've read. The funny story is that my sister's teacher gave her the files of Suzuka lik freaking 5~6 years ago. The files were just a little bit farther then when Yamato used the rocket starters in the school physical exam.(At least that's what I remembered the most) I THEN lost track of the manga since I never even knew about irc or scanlations back then, I forgot about it. It wasn't until about ~2 1/2 years(about 6 months~1 year after I got into reading scans) later that I would come and coincidently find and pick up reading Suzuka. I didn't remember the beginning, but as I read more and more, deja-vu hit me. And when I was reading the fitness test chapter, and saw the rocket boosters, it hit me completely! I remembered reading this manga as a freakin' elementary student. I then proceeded to read the entire story and I distinctly remember crying at least 2 times.(One when Yamato forces the kiss on Suzuka and another when they broke up because Yamato forgot Suzuka's b-day, I probly cried more, but just don't remember) Shoot, talking about Suzuka makes me want to re-read it AGAIN for the 3rd or 4th time AND re-watch the lovely anime again! biggrin Suzuka is and will always hold a place in my heart! (BTW i LOVE your Suzuka avatar and sig!)

suzuka has got to be one of the greatest if not THE greatest manga in the world although i disagree with it being an 18+ manga just because they had sex once or was it twice well anyways ur right suzuka is a breathtakingly beautiful manga and all the story plots can happen except for living in an all girl dorm/bathouse part. if 9.8/10 is suzuka i love to see what's 10/10 for u
