Thank you for all the suggestions! I have read From Far Away, Red River, Inuyasha, and [m]Feminie wa utau[/m], and am currently reading Operation Liberate Men and Kamisama Hajimemashita! I tried reading Daughter of the Nile and for some reason I found it kind of hard to g...

My dear, you should see the first bits of writing I ever attempted. They were bad with no way of improving. That said, reading higher level short stories and trying out each authors' technique really helped me. Character development is hard, especially with multiple chara...
What do you think of before you go to sleep?
(142 posts, 14863 views) Posted: over 12 years ago by DorkFishOK in Chatter Box
I daydream or recite poetry to myself, either poetry I've read or written. I make up stories in my head, or pretend... things. Lately, I've been imagining what it would be like to lay next to a person I'm in love with. I think of all the things I'd say or not say and what...

Vertigo and migraines :/ I get it very often and though it still nauseates me I also get really irritated with everything in general. I'm always in a good mood until I get them. Damn you poor physical health that is possibly caused by poor mental health!

Oh my God... when I saw this topic my stomach immediately twisted because it made me remember all the horrible times I've had when people ask me why I'm vegan and thus try to get me to "come to the light" by eating meat.
So I am vegan... and really, it's not hard. It was ...
What would you do if food you disliked was served?
(55 posts, 4235 views) Posted: over 12 years ago by DorkFishOK in Chatter Box
This happens to me often because I'm vegan... but I understand that cooking takes a lot of work and when people refuse the meal they often just throw it away (wasted food bugs the hell out of me) so I just ask that the meal be put into a to go box so I can give it to some...

I've been on a huge John Keats binge. When a poet catches my attention I want to read their biography, memorize their poems and soak myself for hours in their words. I've just read "The Eve of Saint Agnes" and just realized that it could be fun to compare it to "La Belle ...

There was this manga I read and it was the cliched story of an arranged marriage where the guy is rich and a jerk. It was a smut and the male lead wanted the female lead to dress up in cosplay and she wouldn't have sex with him until the end of the manga. It sounds very v...

So.... I've been going back between shoujo/josei and shounen/seinen because I like certain characteristics of women in each genres. In most shoujo/josei I read, the female leads' characteristics are usually bubbly and/or sweet.... feminine from a distinctly feminine point...
