My very favourite series: Baldurs Gate (BG I +TotSC + BG II + ToB)
it's kinda old, and if you can bear the graphics, it is so amazing. The story is so awesome.
My second, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Such a great and open game, just go where you want and enjoy yoursel...
