That check is currently in the front end which uses a different cache mechanism that lasts for an hour. If you log out and back in you should be able to post in the forum immediately. Otherwise if you wait an hour it should work as well.

One of the developers for the tachiyomi fork "mihon" helped us figure out a way to reduce the traffic. As a result, we unbanned everyone. You should be able to continue using the apps for now.

Honestly, the metric needs to change. Raw page views worked much better back in the day when MU was more popular.

You can do that via the API now. We added a new filters option a few weeks back. However, we haven't modified the UI significantly. We are focused on some other things at the moment.

If you look at the documentation for searchListsPost, you can see that it returns "total_hits" in the response. You can then use paging (i.e., pull the first 100 items, with perpage=100, and then the next 100 items, etc) until you hit total_hits.

How large are your lists? Unfortunately it only excludes the first X amount of items. I can't remember what X is, but it's something like 2000 or 10000 or something.

The smaller six digit numeric IDs are the old IDs and will eventually be deprecated and deleted, so I don't recommend using them. Someone out there scraped the site and created a GitHub project with the ID mapping if you want to convert.
