I don't know if this counts, but in Battle Royale the main charachters are definitely dragged into the situation, and they definitely hate the people who put them there. It's really gory though. Bokurano also might fit the first one.
Ode to Kirihito might kinda fit the sec...

I've got optic nerve hypol plasia, [I don't think I spelled that right], but it means the nerves in the back of eyes are too small, so I'm legally blind with and without glasses. I can still see enough to read if I hold the book close though.

I was always rooting for Light. At first I hated L but then I really came to like him. I thought the ending was good and kind of cool. I was depressed for a couple of weeks afterwords though. The main thing that I didn't like was that I really didn't like Near....
