New Poll - Chapter Parts
(11 posts, 1298 views) Posted: about 1 year ago by Amplify1 in News
I guess the main thing I'll add to all of the above is that I really really wish this place had a way to keep track of multiple chapter parts, like "c7.2" or "c7.b" or whatever, because I love this site for the ability to accurately keep track of what I've read and what I...
Site Manga Poll Suggestions

How do you feel about the more recent scanlator trend some manga groups have adopted of breaking chapters up into small chunks and releasing them as X.1, X.2 and so on?

- I like the bite-sized chunks as I don't have the time to read full chapters
- It's all good if it means...

To put it lightly, you're a joke. Not a funny one either.

Anybody looking for an honest debate would assume the strongest possible version of what the other person is saying and respond accordingly, you did that exactly zero times instead electing to assume the weakest pos...

Yeah, I'm really getting that same vibe from him. It's starting to look like he's either an elaborate troll or a delusional idiot at this point. At least it's making it abundantly clear how seriously I should be taking his opinion (read: not at all).

Honestly this will probably be my last comment on this, or I'll just respond to one or two specific parts, as I don't have the time for comments that are this long. I've been typing bits of it slowly over the day in my bits of free time and can't keep that up long term.

2. I don't see how it could or would ever be possible to have some sort of place / society that would work for all people all of the time. Remember the old addage, “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but...

Ah yes, I didn't think of that option!

No, Absolutely not.

I wouldn't mind creating some sort of omnipotent / near-omni god to do it with some instructions or something like that, but I'd never do it myself because even before I consider that my biases would likely get in the way pretty quickly if I had to face...
New Poll - Differences in the English Language
(12 posts, 974 views) Posted: over 3 years ago by Amplify1 in News
If the character in question is canonically from England or the setting is in the UK at the time, then anyone relevant should be speaking British English unless they're foreign visitors. The same applies for America, and if neither applies then it doesn't matter much....

New Poll - Credit Pages
(7 posts, 749 views) Posted: over 4 years ago by Amplify1 in News
I'd like to throw out another vote for Option f: Nothing.

If I'm reading through a series I've not read before, no credits pages makes it so much easier and smoother to do. If there's more than one credits page (I've seen up to 8(!) per release) with a group then that's es...

"It depends"
Are we talking 0/10 ugly here? Are we talking 10/10 beautiful here? Do they truly love me in general if you remove all anime / manga from the picture?

I've seen what 0/10 girls look like, there's no amount of personality that can fix that.
Batoto Closing

Nothing would be lost if you left, you mean. He was forced to make it "members only" after insane amounts of bot traffic flooded the site and put a huge strain on the servers.

Members only didn't fix the problem with the bots forever, but it worked for a while at least....
New Poll - Batoto Closing
(19 posts, 2805 views) Posted: over 6 years ago by Amplify1 in News
I'm basically screwed, fully dependent on Batoto and furiously transferring over my list of series to here so I don't lose anything, but this may see me reading 90% less manga than I used to do and I may only bother actively keeping up with my top 10 or even top 5 in the ...
New Poll - Spoilers
(16 posts, 3191 views) Posted: over 10 years ago by Amplify1 in News
Depends what it's a spoiler from.

If it's from something like Bleach, make sure it gets spread as much as possible. if it's from something good instead, then curse myself because I hate spoilers.
Just wondering, what makes this seinen?

Seinen and Shounen simply refer to the magazine they are published in, not the content of the work. A work aimed at younger audiences will usually get published in a shounen magazine and vice-verse, but this is not a guarantee.

This one really needs to be multiple choice, so I can select all of the first 5 options.

At the very least it's a tie between #1 and #3.

Bump.

Update news:
A group has contacted me in regards picking up the project as they're on the lookout for new ones currently and they seem to want to do it, so Wa ga Na wa Umishi may very soon(?) start getting updates again.

However, they could use the extra staff so as to...

Hi there all.

I'm a cleaner for a (now defunct) group, there was a project in particular they were looking at picking up but ran out of staff and had to close before that could happen. I'm looking to see if I can save that project if possible.

The series in question:
