This is actually one of the most wholesome FuriAka doujinshi I've read even though it's got its fair share of comedic flair. The fact that Rakuzan team members were present not only helped make it more fun, it also provided a third person's impression of Furihata and Akashi's relationship for the audience to get a better view of it, thus convincing us of how much those two love and care for each other. That's a pretty smart storytelling device.
