I can't say anything about the novel this manga is based on, but the manga itself is moving way too fast. Just like Rex said, characters are falling into the hero's party like clockwork with no in depth introductions. The plot progression is way too fast as well. To make a comparison to Mushoku Tensei, an enemy monster that took 15 novels to encounter and defeat was defeated in the 9th chapter here. The entire plot seems to be a means to an end, and yes while that seems to be the crux of the hero's motivation, there is no magic or excitement in any of the journeys, the encounters, character developments, or revelations. It's just a laundry list of plot point, plot point, character introduction, character recruitment, plot point, rinse and repeat.

Once I started reading the manga the feeling didn't leave me that this manga is very gamish like, but I could not pin point in what way. And after stumbling on Padawan's comparison with a New Game+ I think it is spot on. Somebody should really put a tag "Goes back to the past to fix stuff".

So the good things have already been mentioned prior me. So now what people, aka, me, might dislike here.
Due to the way how the series is currently being presented the character introduction is a bit too fast and could be more in-depth. They pop up suddenly and after that everything is clear. Sure it could and can be explained by the main characters prior knowledge of things, but still at least for me there was a feeling that the charachter development went on a bit too fast.

We got our hero, that like the description says, after losing all those he loved and cared in the fight against the demon lord, he finally killed him and before dying he takes an artifact that the demon lord cared for and as soon as he touches it, his soul went back years before the war, now he is in his young body with all his knowledge and experience.

The concept that instead of going with your whole body to the past and only your soul is really original. So give it a try, its really good.

Its basically a new game+ where you can only get the Best ending after getting the bad ending.

Also the romance is going nicely

Have you ever finished a JRPG before? and then replayed the whole thing in New Game+ mode?
This manga is basically that. Except its not a game of course, but the premise is the same.
The hero succeeds in killing the big bad boss, but at great costs - all that is dear to him has died.
He stumbles upon a magic stone that transports him back in time. Now given a second chance and armed with knowledge of what will happen, the hero attempts to change the tragic events of the future and save everyone.

Quite simply, another different take on the classic hero vs demon lord story with an interesting twist. Its quite fascinating to see what he'll do next in his quest to quickly become a hero, gain influence, and change the future. What used to be difficult journeys, now becomes easy for him to overcome now that he knows the shortcuts. Basically, he's doing a speedrun

This series is promising - need more!

Well in general like my title said, this is a pretty great manga. I mean i usually love RPG manga (that are actually well done) and this delivers that. The story isnt extremely unique but it is still interesting and the art is pretty sketchy but still good in that way. I look forward to seeing where it goes.
