i had never, in my entire life, read a manga about an alcoholic main character of school age and nobody bat an eyelid about it. it surreal i tell you, more surreal than a couple with rape fetish. i really want to enjoy this manga about a girl meeting her childhood friend, but i cannot help but be disturbed by the alcoholism and i cannot concentrate with the characters. the problem is, there is no reason for the alcoholism. is he a delinquent? still why no one stop him drinking in class. is his parents abusive? dont look like it. do he have severe head injury due to falling down the river at age 5? the manga doesnt say anything. so please, pray tell, why is an alcoholic teenager seems so normal in this manga?
