a lot of people didn't feel in sync with the flow of this story, but i thought it was beautifully done. i found myself wanting to know more about each character and as the relationships unfolded, i became more intrigued. the ending was very satisfying, and if this was the least of this mangaka's works i can't wait to read the rest.

I'm not sure what made this series so lacking; original storyline, creative characters, lots of depth. I think it's lacking impact?
You read a chapter and you're just left with, "...Ok......."
From the manga-ka's previous works, and the summary it created high hopes for me, but it failed to live up to them.

Weaker, but good.

I'll be up front- this is probably my least favorite of Midorikawa's work. Though it still has her sense of creativity written all over it- interesting, original storytelling- it lacks some of the impact that makes her other works so memorable. This one feels a bit more like her take on a slightly more generic concepts that you can pick up any average shoujo manga and see. It's interesting, but she fails to do anything groundbreaking, which I think you need to do in order to succeed with an alternative interpretation. Regardless, this is an entertaining read, and I certainly can't say that I didn't enjoy it, as is always the case with Midorikawa's excellent body of work. Being the worst of a great bunch really isn't anything shameful, I think.

This is a thoughtful, soft-spoken love story that has much going on underneath the surface. Those looking for a change of pace from the usual shoujo will surely appreciate it.
