Description
Hatsune Miku is a young woman seeking to become an actress, but just as it seems her chance has come, everything is thrown upside down when she finds herself hurled into the “world of stage” within a strange mansion. There she meets seven mysterious, and potentially dangerous, characters. Although each comes with their own secrets, they almost all have one goal in common—find the stolen script pages, or be trapped in this false world forever!

Story: While this manga adaptation of a vocaloid song doesn't stray as far from the original song as some others have, the whole 'story in a story' bit is a little convoluted for my tastes, and I think an even more faithful adaptation of the wonderful creepiness of the original song would have been fitting (though to be fair, Nozaki is simply adapting the novelized version of the song, which apparently also has this plot.)

Art: Nozaki is a good artist, with solid character designs, expressions, and very nice background art. However, the fact that this is his first manga is apparent in the pacing and panel layout. Particularly jarring is one pivotal scene involving a

broken clock - though how it broke and what part fell off is not immediately obvious and I had to go back and look it over three times.

Ultimately I only recommend this book for hard core fans of either the Bad End Night song or the Vocaloid franchise in general, but not for the general public as it doesn't hold up very well on its own.
