Modern day fairytale

This was pretty much an ideal love story from the love at first sight moment to the happily ever after ending (with a BL twist to it). And yet it doesn't feel corny or cheesy at all, thanks to the author's dedication and skills put to writing such wholesome personalities and authentic dramatic conflicts. While most readers might find it hard to relate to the context (yakuza theme), I'm sure anyone who has experienced human emotions will easily be able to empathise with the characters and their struggles in life and in love, as challenging as these are. The somewhat plain and old fashion art style also plays at an advantage here in bringing out the raw quality and magic that this story possesses. I'm very impressed.

Such a nice read!! It's probably the sweetest yakuza story I've read so far, without working too much to romanticise the yakuza life. My only complain would probably be that the ending had like a ton of possibilities and I had a few I REALLY wanted to see. Just minor changes that would have made that bittersweet taste even more delicious. Then again, it was good nonetheless!

True Love

This felt like a real romance. While I was reading this, I got the same feeling as when I watched Lala Land.

Even though there is some violence in the background, the MCs' love was so pure and smoothly transitioned forward. Nishida juxtaposed these themes nicely.

I especially loved the "Mona Lisa by Nat King Cole" motif that was present throughout the manga.

So good but so sad, i mean if it ended with them going on that trip together, then i would have rated it higher and all would be good, but....
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
but they had to end up both being in prison ><, they could sometimes see each other and still were in love but it was painful to read, it was shown that the uke got out but where was the seme? it felt like he still was in prison.....guuuh~

I was thinking if this would be slice of life or not,...even if i didnt like how it ended, i adored their love for each other.
