Description
A brothel tale of two brothers. Sold young by their mother, older Lan was once a great beauty, but now bears the disfiguring scars of a life in misery. Only fit for servant work, he watches over the blossoming younger Hui Hui who must now serve his first customer. As Lan wonders whether death wouldn't be kinder for them both, a customer requests him for the first time in years -- and it's a handsome young man. Can this fragile love save Lan, or will it consume the last of his hope?

This series doesn't pull any punches when it comes to how miserable being owned by a brothel is -- all the bondage / rape / abuse tags correspond to this aspect of the story. However, the romance between Lan and Master Yong is completely consensual and genuinely touching. I enjoyed the unusual art style and I thought the scanlation was very well done. I was reasonably satisfied with the ending, though I wish there were a few more pages of it to enjoy. It's not in my top 10, but I enjoyed the time I spent reading it. Recommended.
